Find a quiet place to relax where you will not be disturbed by others. Set aside your computer, phone, or any other items which might vie for your attention. You will need some writing paper and a pen or pencil for journaling.

Christmas Bells

Today this beautiful poem is just as relevant as when it was written over 150 years ago. Our God is still as real as well. The same today as He has been in the past and will continue to be.

Merry Christmas. May the peace of Jesus rule in your heart no matter what circumstances you find yourself in this Christmas.

Thoughts on Community

Who do you consider a part of your community? In years past, geography seemed to determine the boundaries of our communities. People socialized with their neighbors, attended the church around the corner and were members of the local PTA.

Who Pushed the Pause Button?

I feel restricted at every turn. It is as if someone pushed a big pause button on my life, and I can’t release it

Because what I believe about prayer has everything to do with what I believe about God. So maybe I am really wrestling with God or at least the expectations that I carry about who He is.
