About Me

I am both thrilled and humbled to be a soul friend on a person's spiritual journey and to witness the Holy Spirit's movement and leading in life.

I believe that God has led me to this place to be available to walk alongside others. Spiritual direction has been important in my own life as a place to share and reflect on my journey, and I have a desire to accompany others on their spiritual journey as they seek a deeper relationship with God.

I first became acquainted with spiritual direction while attending a class at Rosemead School of Psychology at Biola University in La Mirada, California, and was inspired to learn more about it. After completing my studies and becoming a licensed Clinical Psychologist, I performed psychological services for a Christian counseling center in Fresno. Later, I started my own individual psychological practice in northeast Fresno. Still desiring to be a part of spiritual direction, I participated in the three-year spiritual direction program at Mercy Center in Burlingame, California, completing the program in 2010.

I am married, and my husband Terry and I have four adult children and eight grandchildren. We attend a community church in Fresno. I enjoy walks with my husband, and have reading as a hobby, as well as keeping up with our kids and grandkids.

About Me

I love spending time in conversation with fellow travelers as we listening for and watch for how God is working in and through their lives. It took me 15 years to find a Spiritual Director and when I did in a small way it was like coming home. I felt heard maybe for the first time by a person who was truly able to listen with a discerning ear. She was able to help me see where God was working, loving and guiding me. It was such a gift from God. I am a graduate from the Institute for Spiritual Formation at Talbot School of Theology. I have been practicing the art of Spiritual Direction since 2009. I am currently working at Biola University with seminary students and leading groups and retreats. I also lead small contemplative retreats for women seeking a deeper relationship with Christ. I am married and have two adult sons. I have worked in Women's ministry and lead Bible Studies. I have also personally experienced and gone through the Ignatian Exercises and can lead others through them. Peace be with you.

About Me

A spiritual director of women, I savor being with spiritual directees in the presence of the Holy Spirit: looking, listening, discerning, and moving closer to the Holy Trinity’s heart. Together, let’s notice the invitations of God. Let’s linger with the Lord as you stretch and grow in all areas of life with Christ. During lane changes, blind spots occur. Like mirrors, maps, and traffic signals, let’s notice & traverse the terrain of your own heart and soul. My heart delights in praying with and for your journeying with Jesus. My practice focuses on spiritual disciplines, creativity, Scripture, book resources, and asking attentive questions. Within parachurch and church organizations, in person and via Skype, my spiritual direction practice cares for the heart and soul of God’s people. At Denver Seminary, I completed a two-year certificate program in Christian Formation and Soul Care. What are God’s invitations to you this day?

About Me

I am so grateful to be able to walk alongside others in the ministry of Spiritual Direction. To prayerfully hear their stories, and notice with them where God is lovingly active in their life, is a gift.

I am especially passionate about seeing women of all ages come alive to all that Christ has for them, throwing off anything that hinders. In past ministry experiences, I have worked in other cultures, with at-risk youth, with those in their last stages of life, and with women struggling with eating disorders.

I began my personal experience with Spiritual Direction in 2009. And after God used this ministry to untie many knots in my own life and walk with Him, I entered training to become a Spiritual Director. I received my certification from Christos Center in Minneapolis, MN.

About Me

I consider it an honor and a privilege to sit with others and be privy to the work of God in their lives. God has blessed me so much through this ministry with which he has entrusted me.

I grew up in a ministry family, the daughter of pastors turned missionaries. This sparked in me a deep love for serving God and loving his people well. That, along with my personal experiences of ministry, also exposed me to some of the negatives of ministry life (loneliness, burn-out, personal and interpersonal brokeness, etc.) and gave me a deep heart for serving those who serve.

After completing a BA in Psychology, I felt God leading me to the Institute for Spiritual Formation (ISF) to work towards an MA in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care, which is where I received my training as a Spiritual Director. I continue to offer spiritual direction there through the Center for Spiritual Renewal.

I offer spiritual direction in the Beach Cities area where I live, and I am also available for Skype direction, if needed.

About Me

I am a lover of God, people, nature, and animals. I love helping people live out their fullness of their humanity and see that God is with us in everything, and in things like sports activities or the fights we have with those we love just as much as He is in a 'spiritual' discipline we are practicing.

I love to help individuals learn to be honest with themselves and God...to be with you on the journey of knowing Jesus fully accepts and wants us.

Nothing you say could probably shock me. I look young but i have walked a deep journey full of loss, loneliness, goodness, questioning, happiness, anger, fear. I know He is big enough to hold us all in everything we think, feel and do.

I love walking with individuals through their grief, depression, loss, relationship difficulties and being with you as you discern where God is working.

I completed my MA in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care at Talbot School of Theology in 2013, I currently am a Spiritual Director at the Center for Spiritual Renewal at Biola University. As well, I have a private practice in San Clemente where i enjoy leading spiritual direction in person and over Skype. In 2010, I attended two years at Loyola Institue for Spirituality where i experienced the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius in the form of the 19th annotation retreat in daily life. Years later, I went through training in how to lead others through the Spiritual Exercises/ 19th Annotation Retreat in daily life. I am available to lead others through the Spiritual Exercises and design personalized retreats for individuals and groups. I do not believe you can fully be with people where you first have not gone yourself. I have participated in a 3 week solitude retreat called the Intensive Journey inward, that forever changed my life. It is my joy to help design retreats that encourage places of solitude and peace combining nature and connection with one’s Creator.

I would love to help you journey towards attaching to God and to others. I am just a fellow wounded healer, and would love to journey with you as you discover more of your Abba's deep love and tenderness towards you.

About Me

I completed my MA in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care at Talbot School of Theology in 2012, where I was trained to be a Spiritual Director.

I currently practice Spiritual Direction in Fountain Valley and the surrounding areas, I am a Staff Director at Talbot Seminary, practice individual and group Direction with those in the ISF program, and am Adjunct Faculty at Talbot Seminary where I teach, lead group Direction, and train.

I have a heart for those desiring to know God at a deeper level, no matter what season they find themselves in. I have worked with a variety of ages, in many capacities in ministry, and excite at the opportunity to walk alongside another seeking to engage with the Lord’s work in their life.

Having worked on Pastoral Staff for 10 years, I have a particular heart for supporting those in pastoral positions, those in leadership positions in the church, those training for leadership, those who work with youth, and anyone in ministry positions- official or lay. I also love to walk alongside youth themselves, supporting them in their specific time in life.

I have worked with women in women’s ministries, retreats, mentoring, and through a women in youth ministry network. From this, I have also developed a particular heart to empower women in their calling.

My practice includes individual and group direction, working with male or female directees, teaching on Spiritual Formation, training Spiritual Directors and Pastoral counselors, teaching classes on Spiritual Formation, and I am available to design personalized retreats for individuals, groups, or leadership.

I am married and have 3 children.

About Me

As a spiritual director, I feel my role is to help create space for an encounter with God and to journey with an individual who is pursuing questions, doubts, or general curiosity about spirituality. It is an honor to listen and explore where God is at work in a person's life, and to discover hidden depths of joy and peace, sometimes through sorrow and grief. I try to "get out of the way" as God meets the directee through conversation, silence, a spiritual exercise, or prayer. It remains a defining moment when a person's soul connects with God's Spirit and it becomes a holy moment!

About Me

It is a joy for me to sit with people in the presence of the Holy Spirit, as He helps them listen to their hearts and hear God’s heart, and as we respond together to His invitation to a deeper journey with the Father.

Having served in cross-cultural ministry since 1979, I have a particular burden for broken people like myself, especially if they are current or aspiring Christian leaders, pastors, missionaries or those dealing with trauma. My husband and I and our children lived for 14 years on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, where I worked as a nurse midwife with Afghan refugee women.

My years in Asia, and 7 years working with patients, students and internationals in Oxford, UK, helped me learn how to walk softly with people who have deep wounds that only God can heal, often in the presence of another caring soul.

I received an MA in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care from Talbot Seminary in 2011, and was trained by Larry Warner in leading others through the Ignatian exercises. I have served informally as a Spiritual Director for over 25 years, and formally since 2010.

I am currently working at Biola University with seminary students and leading groups and retreats. I continue to supervise and provide pastoral care to workers serving overseas. I have been married 40 years, and have three adult married children, four grandsons, and a dog. I love gardening, reading, ethnic foods and cooking, traveling, and walking in nature.

About Me

I received my Spiritual Direction certification from The Leadership Institute (TLI). My 3+ years under the leadership at TLI has changed my spiritual life forever. I absolutely love walking with others, helping them to see where God is at work in their lives, especially in the area of struggles with identity. I specialize in helping people identify lies they have been believing and replace them with God's truth "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind...". About Me

I am Beth Bauer and I am excited about your journey already. I know, I might sound more excited than you and that is ok, but the fact that you are looking for someone to journey with tells me that God has been leading you along and you are responding-no matter if you are eager or reluctant, ready or not, open or resistant. This I know, we cannot help ourselves in all things, by God's good design. We all need help caring for our souls. My hope is that by seeing someone for Spiritual Direction, you will find ways to experience God- up close, and personal, and find healing and health for your soul.
I have worked in ministry roles my entire working career, in Social Services, on Church Staff, in Missions. More recently, I have felt God call me to help others move from knowing God, to experiencing Him. If I can help you or if you would like to talk more about this, I would love for us to connect. I have done training for Spiritual Direction with Sustainable Faith and Spiritual Formation with Moody Bible Institute and on the Enneagram with Crossroads Ministry.

About Me

I became a certified spiritual director in May of 2017. I'd never heard of SD until my pastor asked me to consider being trained. As I read the description of what this is I felt God tugging on my heart to go for it. Two years later I realized that the transformational aspect of SD for myself has been amazing. Having a spiritual director who listens and points out God's hand in my life is so life giving and I want to be that kind of companion in this impersonal, harried world. My prayer is that there is no one in my life that has to remain stuck or unheard or unknown.

About Me

Today I prayed for each person that would view this website as they seek to find a spiritual director that they could share their life with. So, I have prayed for you.

God has given me a heart to walk alongside people since I was a little girl. I have walked through much loss as well as personal illness in my life and all of this has been used to give me a tender heart towards others.

Throughout the last 13 years, I have worked as a community health nurse and have specialized in working with pregnant women, adult primary care, health promotion and caring for people living with HIV. I have my Masters in Biblical Counseling from Westminster Seminary and my certificate in Spiritual Direction. I plan on being a life long learner.

I love spending time with people, missions, inner city ministries, and mentoring. I also love being outdoors, walking on the beach, rollerblading, traveling and learning new things.

My favorite thing to do is to deeply listen to others and to seek to listen to God alongside of others.

About Me

I specialize in supporting the emotional and spiritual well-being of people in ministry. As a full-time spiritual director, coach and spiritual formation consultant with ReNew Leaders, I am passionate about coming alongside ministry leaders so they can have a safe, confidential space to process their lives and encounter the Lord. My desire is for ministry leaders to enjoy a space where they can receive the same type of care they regularly give to others, to protect their hearts from burnout.

I received a masters in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care as well as certification as a spiritual director at the Institute for Spiritual Formation at Biola University. I also have a B.A. in psychology and Bible from Biola, and appreciate how psychology and spirituality can be integrated to look at the entire holistic health of an individual.

I was raised within the Southern Baptist denomination in Nashville, Tennessee, and for the past 10 years I have been an active member of nondenominational churches in Long Beach, CA and Nashville, TN. I continue to travel between both locations and enjoy seeing clients in person in Nashville or worldwide through video conferencing.

My specific ministry interests include working with ministry leaders, as well as women and young adults. I enjoy exploring creative expressions of spiritual practices that fit the unique personality and interests of my directees.

About Me

I completed training as a spiritual director in Spring 2015 and my MA in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care at Talbot School of Theology in December of 2015.

I see spiritual direction as a space where we can invite someone into our relationship with God to listen and co-discern the movement and voice of God in the midst of our lives.

I'm passionate about providing a safe place created by prayer and partnership with the Spirit of God. My goal is not to be the person to give you answers but to help you learn to bring your questions honestly before God and find hope, acceptance and love in his presence.

I have a passion for missions and missionaries, as well as people in ministry. While I think everyone can benefit from spiritual direction, those in ministry who give often forget to receive. My hope is that in direction you might receive from the Spirit of God wherever you find yourself in relationship with Him.

About Me

I was drawn into offering Spiritual Direction as I became aware of my own transformation and deepening relationship with God, as I practiced the disciplines introduced in Spiritual Formation. I noticed that I found myself naturally sitting with other people, listening to their story with a servant’s heart. This morphed into being trained as a Spiritual Director for individuals and groups. I have completed two years of training through Sustainable Faith, as well as additional training in accompanying people on the Ignatian Exercises. I am also trained to provide supervision to Spiritual Directors, supporting and encouraging them as they process their internal movements when offering Direction.

About Me

As a spiritual director I have a front row seat where I get to watch God work in the lives of the individuals with whom I meet. Helping others hear and respond to God’s voice is one of the greatest privileges any man could ever experience. Some define spiritual direction as “holy listening” and if that means “listening to the Holy Spirit” then I totally concur with that definition for truly the Holy Spirit is the ultimate spiritual director

I was first introduced to the idea of spiritual direction in 2001 when I enrolled in a nine-month version of Ignatius’s Spiritual Exercises. This ultimate lead me to pursue a Certificate in Spiritual Direction at George Fox Evangelical Seminary. Prior to that experience my studies at Dallas Theological Seminary (ThM) and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (DMin) had provided me with a solid biblical and theological grid from which to launch into spiritual theology.

Since beginning pastoral ministry in two small church in rural South Dakota, I have pastored congregations in Khartoum, Sudan in East Africa; Mission, KS; Portland, Oregon and currently in Battle Ground Washington. From 1990 until 2008 I taught a variety of Spiritual Formation Courses at Multnomah Biblical Seminary where I am currently serving as an adjunct professor. For five years my wife and I also hosted a retreat center for pastors and their spouses.

My wife, Evelyn, and I have enjoyed over 46 year of marriage. We have been blessed with three children, all of whom are currently walking with the Lord and who are providing spiritual leadership to our nine grandchildren.

As a spiritual director I am privileged to work with any Christ-follower who desires to move forward in their spiritual journey, but I do feel a special affinity towards pastors and their special soul care needs.

His vocation is coaching and mentoring, helping people develop by interacting with them over common interests. Stan worked with individuals as well as small and large groups, helping them develop short and long-range plans, build teams, and achieve goals.

Stan holds a Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and has completed the certificate program in spiritual direction through Selah (http://www.leadershiptransformations.org/selah.htm).

Stan particularly enjoys interacting with people about their attraction to stories. He has a keen interest in books by C. S. Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkien, Charles Dickens, and Victor Hugo. Finding Neverland, The Green Mile, and Les Misérables are a few of his favorite films. Stan takes pleasure in exploring how popular stories help people of all ages navigate life’s challenges. About Me

Hi. I'm Sandy Boller. I received my two-year certificate in spiritual direction from Sustainable Faith Schools of Spiritual Direction.

I love to help women learn the rhythms of slowing down and listening for the Holy, offering spiritual direction in such a way so that we may learn to recognize God in the middle of our everyday lives. My goal is to live life on purpose with Jesus lighting and leading the way, finding God in the middle of every day by living wide-eyed in wonder and belief (Lk. 11:34). I encourage my directees to find creative ways to be present to the One who is always present to us, learning the rhythms of slowing down and listening for the Holy.

My husband, Marty and I also serve as trainers of spiritual direction with the Sustainable Faith Schools of Spiritual Direction(www.sustainablefaith.com).

About Me

Hi. I'm Marty Boller. I received my two-year certificate in spiritual direction from Sustainable Faith Schools of Spiritual Direction.

I love coming alongside pastors and church leaders, companioning them in the care of their souls as they juggle the heavy demands of pastoral ministry.

I've been actively involved in pastoral ministry for 30+ years and now serve the larger body of Christ through my popular blog and website: The Contemplative Activist (www.thecontemplativeactivist.com). There we encourage pastors and church leaders to slow down, re-evaluate their work in ministry, and become, what we call, Christ-centered 3-C contemplative activists for the greater glory of God. Join us!

My wife, Sandy and I also serve as trainers of spiritual direction with the Sustainable Faith Schools of Spiritual Direction (www.sustainablefaith.com).

About Me

I am a pastor in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition serving both the Free Methodist Church and the Church of the Nazarene since 2003. I serve my local church on staff in the position of pastor of discipleship and spiritual formation. I began my journey in the disciplines of spiritual formation and spiritual direction in 2005 and completed the two-year certificate program in spiritual direction in 2012 from the Pecos Benedictine Monastery School of Spiritual Direction where I now serve as a Benedictine Oblate and teach at the Pecos Monastery School for Spiritual Direction.

I have a particularly strong fondness for Benedictine and Ignatian spirituality, incorporating the Ignatian exercises and a personal rule of life as foundational aspects of my devotional life. I love engaging in and forming missional-ecumenical partnerships that foster the advancement of God’s kingdom. I enjoy exploring ancient-future worship practices as well as introducing and leading others in them.

Meyers-Briggs testing shows that I favor a INTJ personality profile. I love reading (particularly ancient church fathers and Christian mystics) and I love technology. I combine these passions by maintaining a website and blogging somewhat regularly. I write book reviews, devotional reflections, and share my spiritual journey at www.icrucified.com/icruciblog.

I enjoy most aspects of Christian ministry, but my greatest joy is walking alongside fellow sojourners who are just awakening to the incarnational life…the life of living always in the presence of the God who is always with us and within us (Bro. Lawrence, Frank Laubach, Jean Pierre de Caussade).

I have been married to my best friend and wife, Laurie, for twenty-eight years and together we have raised three grown sons. We have lived in the deep south of Louisiana, raised a family in the hills of north central Pennsylvania, and we now call the Pacific Northwest our home.

About Me

I hold graduate degrees in biblical studies/New Testament and Community Counseling. I completed the SELAH program in spiritual direction in June 2017. I have four adult children, do part-time work as a psychotherapist using a wellness-based, body-centered, holistic approach, offer Reiki body work and spiritual direction. As one who has been on a path of integration for many years
I find that there is a great deal of overlap between my work as a psychotherapist and as a spiritual director. Each individual who comes to me brings his or her own story and sense of need for companionship on the individual path God is laying out. My training as a spiritual director is contemplative
biblical and trinitarian. Centering prayer and daily devotional practice are key parts of my personal spirituality. Sacred music and reverent worship in the beauty of holiness are also important to me individually. However
I recognize that the Lord is the Lord of all and welcome the opportunity to grow alongside those who choose me as their companion.

About Me

My childhood was spent in a loving but atheist/agnostic home. When I came to faith in Christ in my early college years, I discovered a loving God who provided a moral compass for my life. During those busy years of school, early marriage, parenting, and career, I soaked up a good deal of knowledge and found multiple satisfying ways to serve God. This was enough for a long time.

My journey into spiritual direction began in my early 50’s and was generated from a sense of missing something in my faith, accompanied by a longing to experience a deeper connection with God. This path has opened my perspective concerning who God is to me, and who I am to Him. It has been a journey of discovering how to be with God, and not just what to do for Him. I have lingered, with intention, with the Ignatian exercises, experiencing transformation through imaginative prayer. I have embraced new spiritual practices and forms of prayer that were not part of my evangelical upbringing. The contemplative life with the Trinity has been a re-awakening and a deepening of the faith that God invited me to in my young adulthood.

Feeling called to minister in this sacred space of soul care, I completed my training in spiritual direction at Richmont Graduate University in Atlanta, GA. In the interest of growing further, I am currently enrolled and pursuing the Master’s degree in Spiritual Formation through Richmont.

I would be delighted to walk beside anyone who is willing to journey deeper into their understanding of God, but I have a passion towards walking along-side young adults. I am willing to companion with them during their busy season of life, listening and discerning with them as they explore who God is and how He reveals Himself to them. I have an openness to ponder the tough questions and listen for God’s voice amid all the competing voices of our culture and time.

About Me

Hello! My name is Victoria Brown and I am a spiritual director in Central Illinois. I graduated from the Spiritual Director Development Program coordinated by the Chiara Center of Springfield, IL in May of 2016. My training in this program helped me develop into an empathetic listener who is able to help others as they discern who God is to them, where they see Him currently working in their lives, and how they see the path unfolding before them as they move forward. As believers, I consider our image of God to be the most important aspect of our faith, and I feel privileged to walk alongside others as they seek to interact with the Holy Spirit. As a spiritual director I see my role as one of encouraging individuals to take the time to notice where God is present in their worlds, sincerely believing He is everywhere, by learning to truly pay attention. Engaging in spiritual direction, both as a director and a directee, has revitalized my faith; I am committed to assisting others as they deepen their understanding of how God longs to interact with them as well. In my personal life I was part of a launch team to plant Imago Dei Church in Peoria, IL in 2008 where I still attend with my husband and three school-age children. As a family we love to play games, hike and camp.

About Me

It has been my privilege to serve individuals, small groups, and retreats as a Spiritual Director for the past twelve years, meeting with directees and supervising interns from two different Spiritual Direction training programs. I have been blessed to companion students, academicians, seminarians, pastors' families, "recovering evangelicals," psychologists, ministers and artists as well as others who don't fit any of these descriptions!

I completed a three-year certification program in Spiritual Direction through Stillpoint Center for Christian Spirituality. Also, I participated in the 10-month Ignatian Spiritual Exercises (19th Annotation) through Sisters of St. Joseph in Orange, CA.

Through my own ongoing experience of meeting with a Spiritual Director, God brought about a healing transformation that radically changed my life and relationships, ending a decades-long battle with depression. Despite being a lifelong Christian and church leader, the truth of being God’s Beloved only became a felt-experience the year I turned 50. The Spirit continues to free me to be the person I was created to be, without living “inside the boxes” that cultures (family, church, work arena, ethnicity, world, etc.) present.

I was raised in a pastor's home and have been married to the love of my life--a New Testament scholar and ordained minister--for 39 joyous years. Together we have raised and delight in three grown children as well as welcoming their fabulous spouses and two grandloves so far.

I earned my B.A. and M.A. at Christian universities in Southern California and have worked in university residential life on both coasts, as well as serving as an elementary school teacher for 17 years.

Ten years ago I was diagnosed with a neurological disorder that creates sensory nerve pain 24/7. It was a pre-cancer condition that developed into Multiple Myeloma in 2015. As a result, I have an ongoing and personal understanding of the spiritual journey in the midst of pain, limitations, illness, loss, medical treatments and side effects. Whether or not these are challenges for you, I would love to "listen together" to hear what the Spirit is speaking into your life and through your life and to see the ways God is at work around and through you to bring about redemption, healing, wholeness, and vitality.

About Me

I was introduced to the contemplative life through a pastor in my 20’s, through various readings as I grew older, and then in my 50’s, through an inner-healing group. That group ushered me into a more intentional way of keeping company with Jesus, involving practices that lead me deeper into his presence. As I began to feel the call into the ministry of soul care, I pursued a Certificate in Formational Prayer (a meditative model of inner-healing prayer) through Ashland Theological Seminary and established a ministry called “Compassionate Counsel and Care”. Later, I added a Certificate in Advanced Spiritual Direction from HCM International.

I offer a form of contemplative care that speaks to the deeper desires of the heart – the longings for love, security, understanding, purpose, significance and belonging. The care model that I use is informed by Ignatian Spirituality, is rooted in the work and teachings of Jesus and is founded upon His example of the wounded healer. The model integrates Formation Prayer and Transformational Spiritual Direction.

Let me define these terms: Formational Prayer is a means of inner healing that positions people to meet Jesus in the memories of traumatic experiences. It is a Christ-centered, Spirit directed process of prayer that seeks to bring the presence of Jesus into the place of deep emotional wounds. According to Richard Rohr, "Pain that is not transformed is transmitted". I found that to be true in my own healing journey.

Transformational Spiritual Direction is means of helping individuals to be attentive to the movement of God in the everyday moments of life. It involves mutual listening to the Holy Spirit, resting in His presence, contemplative conversation, and the modelling of time-honored spiritual practices that move one on in the spiritual journey. As Adele Calhoun says, “Transformation happens as you keep company with Jesus”.

I compassionately open my door for individual sessions, for Classical Group Direction and for Healing Care Groups. The two types of groups differ in that Classical Group Direction focuses on noticing the Lord’s activity and responding to His invitation to intimacy. In contrast, the Healing Care Groups meet in community for the purposes of healing from deep wounds, false beliefs, damaged emotions, and dysfunctional behaviors. I have found that the language of spirituality transcends all of the religions and denominations. It is the language of the heart.

About Me

I am a licensed bi-vocational pastor in the Evangelical Covenant Church who met Jesus personally in college and for a number of years served Him wearing many hats in youth ministry, retreat ministry, church planting and crisis pregnancy ministry. I spent a lot of time “doing ministry” but eventually discovered that I was worn out and dry and thirsty and needing to reconnect with the God I had loved and served. I found Spiritual Direction to be the gift that restored my soul, and it became the lifeline that sustained me through some turbulent life changes in the last few years. Desiring to share this gift with others, I completed the graduate level certification program in Spiritual Direction at the C. John Weborg Center for Spiritual Direction at North Park Seminary in Chicago in 2012. I meet with individuals for one-on-one direction both in person and via Skype. With my extensive youth ministry background, I also desire to work with youth pastors to bring contemplative practices into their youth ministry.

About Me

My heart is to journey with another and come into a place where we can hear and see God more clearly. There are many ways to find what He is doing in our lives such as quieting our hearts and minds to make the space for Him to speak to us, through drawing, clay, dance, etc. Our job is to be open and available. He will do the rest.

About Me

I'm a passionate student of God’s work in our soul, and I'd love to help you discern, explore and respond to God’s activity in your life. Certified as a Spiritual Director through the two-year Selah Spiritual Direction Program, I offer contemplative, attentive spiritual direction for those who sense a yearning to go deeper in their relationship with God and would like someone to help them understand and discern God’s activity in their life. I’ve pastored for over 25 years, and try to foster an atmosphere of loving trust, generous grace, and honest response to the Jesus' invitation to abide in him.

About Me

I love to encourage others, to help people pay attention to God’s activity and invitations in the midst of their lives, and to see people connect to God in meaningful ways.

Initially pursuing Spiritual Direction training for my own growth and personal spiritual journey, I discovered a way to companion others and listen in deeper ways that “fits” my heart for people.

My experiences of God’s faithful provision, strength – and, yes, even joy – in times of loss, in ministry, and through life with a chronic illness have fueled my passion to help others notice and name God’s presence and activity in their lives.

I received my Spiritual Direction training with Sustainable Faith School of Spiritual Direction led by David Nixon and have been practicing Spiritual Direction since 2012. I am the Interim Director of Women’s Ministries at my church and a trained Stephen Minister. I am also a recommended facilitator for oneLife Maps (www.onelifemaps.com) - their Listen to My Life portfolio is a life-mapping tool to help you recognize and respond to God in your story.

My husband Todd and I have been married for 25 years, and we have two daughters and a son-in-law/love. We currently live in Lafayette, IN.

About Me

Hi, In the past year I have enjoyed meeting with over 37 different directees and watching God do amazing transformational work in their lives. If you are interested in experiencing the power of God transform you into the person He has created you to be and are willing to take the time to be intentional about developing some new spiritual practices in your life, then I would encourage you to invite a spiritual director to walk with you on your journey with God. If you live in my area I would love to meet with you, or even to connect through Skype or FaceTime. This fall I will be introducing a Spiritual Formation Academy for believers in our church who desire to take their relationship with God to a new level. In proceeding years it is my hope that God will open the doors for me to expand this Spiritual Formation Academy throughout Southwestern Ontario. I am also a trained counsellor and Pastor at Huron Park Baptist Church in Woodstock, Ontario. I have a wife, Carol, and 2 grown-up daughters. Last year I completed my second of 2 books, which can be found on Amazon. The book is titled "Love Redeemed" and it takes a Spiritual formation look at the Song of Songs as well as providing some practical insights for couples.

About Me

For me, spiritual direction is similar to going home once a month - I get to sit on the front porch with my Dear Ones and have an unhurried conversation about how we are doing together. In sessions with directees, I seek to be a gentle companion, holding the door open for recognizing and responding to God's movement in their lives.

My background includes a Masters in Agency Counseling and work as a bereavement counselor; I recently completed the Selah Certificate in Spiritual Direction. I am also a graduate of the Renovare Institute for Spiritual Formation. I enjoy reading, gardening, experiencing spiritual community, and spending time with our family of young adults and their spouses.

About Me

Hi! I’m Sarah, and it is an absolute joy for me to come alongside others as they journey with Jesus - whether they are on the mountaintop, in the valley, or somewhere in between.

As a spiritual director, I have the privilege of holding open space for others so they can slow down from the busy pace of life and have protected time to be present to the Lord. My desire is to create a safe atmosphere where others can explore the landscape of their inner life, and find God’s presence in unexpected places in their own day to day circumstances.

I received my two-year certificate in spiritual direction from Sustainable Faith School of Spiritual Direction.

About Me

I am originally from South Africa, lived for a while in the UK, and have now been in the States since 1998. I live in Boston with my wife and 3 daughters and have worked with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship since 2002.

It has been a challenging and surprising journey to follow God as He has led me around the world, and over the last few years as He has led me more deeply into my own inner world. This journey has impacted my work with InterVarsity as I now provide spiritual formation for staff in New England. I deeply enjoy walking with others on their own spiritual journeys and noticing where our Father is present.

I graduated from the University of Cape Town (BA), Covenant Seminary (MDiv), and Selah Certificate in Spiritual Direction.

About Me

I am delighted to say that I am a graduate of the Institute for Spiritual Formation with an MA in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care from Talbot School of Theology. It took eight long years to complete this degree in May 2016. I started on this journey while our church was struggling and I was completely dry spiritually. My soul needed the refreshment of being loved and known by other believers as I walked towards the reality of my true identity in Christ. Initially I admit that I was resistant and was unaware of my deep need for healing but I eventually began to see how God could use me in my brokenness to grow more in love with Him.
My passion is to meet with those seeking the Lord for understanding as they journey through the normal activities of life. I believe that spiritual direction is a slow process of uncovering one’s real identity as a beloved child of God and learning to listen to His calling. I treasure the time that I can be another as we sit with God while the Spirit does the directing. Listening is a gift. To be seen and known by another is truly a gift from God.
Currently, I work full time as a registered nurse. I have had the joy of raising two adult children with my husband of 30 years. I am also a pastor’s wife which allows me a particular awareness of the needs of church leadership. I have served as a missionary overseas understanding the unusual needs of believers that are working cross culturally. I had the pleasure of walking alongside others as they seek God for about 6 years.

About Me

I'm the Pastor of Spiritual Formation at Sandals Church in Riverside, CA. My primary roles include offering spiritual direction to our ministers and campus pastors, developing and leading our spiritual formation focus for our leadership training program as well as our 600+ small group leaders.

I received my training as a spiritual director from the Institute for Spiritual Formation from Talbot Seminary at Biola University. Prior to being called into full-time ministry I spent a couple of decades in sales and business management.

My heart is for the local church. I’m passionate about helping the individual soul be in sync with God. As a pastor, I love working with leaders who are serving the church. It's a real joy to witness the transforming work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of others as they're being transformed into the image of Christ.

In 1992 I married my high school sweetheart, Christina. We have three amazing children (2 in college and 1 in high school). Personally, life is full with family schedules as welll as spending time with friends and community. I love being at the beach, mountains, countryside and finding great non-chain restaurants that are passionate about their customers overall experience. I hail from San Diego, CA and am an avid San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Chargers fan.

About Me

The first time I met with a spiritual director, it felt like a homecoming. I realized, “This is who I am! And this is how I am, when I'm with people as together we listen to God!" That was over 20 years ago. Since then I’ve been offering spiritual direction to individuals and groups, having received my training through CFDM-Northwest, as well as training others to do the same, through Leadership Transformations’ Selah Certificate Program in spiritual direction. In addition to directing the Selah program, I serve as the Associate for Spiritual Formation at the Pierce Center for Discipleship at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (where I received both my MA and D.Min. degrees), and I lead retreats for church and parachurch groups. I live in Hamilton Massachusetts with my dear husband Dave, and we are graced with three grown children.

About Me

My passion is to follow Jesus. Twenty six years ago Jesus led my wife and me to the jungles of Irian Jaya, Indonesia as a pilot with Mission Aviation Fellowship. It was there in the jungles of Irian Jaya I learned how God is always speaking to us but I was not always willing to listen. I have learned to do a lot more listening and I love to help others listen to the Holy Spirit. My longing to hear God led me to pursue a degree in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care at Talbot seminary, graduating in 2007. I have been a spiritual director since 2005. I also lead others in an incredible journey known as the Ignation Exercises. These experiences have equipped me to walk alongside other missionaries and pastors as well as anyone longing to hear from our God who desires to speak to us.

I am a member of Imago Christi, www.imagochristi.org, a protestant order of believers who practice living out the image of christ in everyday life and community. Our passion is to help others find greater intimacy with Jesus.

My wife and I have 4 adult children. We love living in Idaho and enjoy hiking and camping and exploring God's creation.

About Me

I began my journey with spiritual direction in 2010, when I began to meet with my first director. I was driving two hours to meet her, because what I was seeking was not available near where I live. I was subsequently trained through HCM International, in the School of Spiritual Formation and the Art of Spiritual Direction, and have been assisting in the training of spiritual directors since completing the program. Greater intimacy with the Living Christ has become possible for me, through the sacred space of direction, and my hope is to provide the same space for others to hear God's whispers of love for them. I am a wife, a mother, and an Emergency Physician who regularly travels for medical missions. I have had the privilege of working with individuals, as well as small groups for group spiritual direction.

About Me

"Our heart is restless until it rests in You," Augustine.

The journey into our soul can be tiring and the road through life is often rocky and painful. Is Jesus' burden really light? How can I hear the Spirit's voice and see Him at work in my life? Where is He? These questions are invitations to a deeper relationship with God and are a place where spiritual direction can help you dive into them.

In spiritual direction together we will explore where God is at work in your life and learn how tp open to Him so that you may know Him more deeply and know yourself more truthfully. One of the best parts of direction is that you don't have to be alone in your process. I desire to create a safe space to have honest conversations with God about how you are experiencing life with God, or not. My deepest passion is listening with and noticing where God is inviting people into a deeper union with Himself. I especially focus on feeling -with- God, I believe this builds a deeper trust and dependance on Him.

I am currently getting my M.A. in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care at Talbot School of Theology and have a varied church denominational background (Vineyard, Non-Denominational, Anglican, and Methodist) I have experience with Celebrate Recovery and 12 step programs which can enrich the growth of those struggling in various areas, as there is no part of our life that is outside of God's care and concern. I seek to support those in ministry, leadership, business, those wrestling with deep questions, the grieving, and those just wanting to grow spiritually with Jesus in the mundane and simple. Using your dreams an avenue of spiritual growth is also something that can be incorporated within the direction relationship.

I am SoCal native with a 10 year stint on a farm in Montana. I am currently embracing my season/calling of singleness with close friends and lots of books on spiritual growth and psychology. My current research topics include: anger, shame, forgiveness, and attachment to God.

About Me

I have always had a passion for soul care that is integrative in all aspects of life in my nursing, teaching, and ministry. I have a shepherd’s heart and a servant lifestyle. I received my Christian Formation and Spiritual Direction certificate from Christian Formation and Direction Ministries (CFDM) a two-year program. I have offered spiritual accompaniment for 12 years with children and adults. I am a graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University and received my Master’s at Fuller Theological Seminary Southwest where I taught Teaching for Christian Formation in the past and currently am a Vocation Formation Group Leader and marriage and family integration group leader. I have been on staff at a large church, a small missional church and a mid-size church in my over 35 years of ministry. I am a member of the Executive Board of two mission organizations where I serve an additional roles as Spiritual Formation Director, Discernamentarian, Retreat Leader and Spiritual Director.

I am honored to join men and women, boards and staffs, who desire a deeper communion with God, revealed in Jesus Christ, as they discover God's love, transformative activity, and guidance in their lives and ministries. I offer spiritual accompaniment for children, individuals and married couples to shape a life of faith through prayerful listening, scripture, relationship, discernment processes and various spiritual practices for an openness and responsiveness to God ...until Christ is formed in us!

About Me

I am a seminary grad with a MDiv and a DMin degree with nearly forty years serving in parish ministry. I received my training in spiritual direction from Selah (Leadership Transformations).

My approach to spiritual direction is biblical in foundation, contemplative in style, and Trinitarian in theology. Nothing gives me greater joy than walking with others in living into the relationship into which we have been invited by the Trinity and experiencing the "aha" moments in that relationship.

As a spiritual director I view my role as a "co-discerner" with brothers and sisters in Christ as we listen carefully together to discover the Lord's will and grow more and more into Christlikeness. What a humbling privilege and honor!

About Me

I deeply value creating space for myself and others to notice what God is doing in our lives. Meaningful conversation over a cup of something is a highlight of my day. As a spiritual director my current focus is on individual and small group direction, reflective retreats and other spiritually formational opportunities. (See www.QuietReflection.org).

From 1993-2013, I served on the leadership team for the National Network of Youth Ministries, particularly in the spiritual formation of Christian leaders. I am a licensed minister, served as Vanguard University’s Co-Campus Pastor (2003-2006), trained for two years in spiritual direction with Christian Formation & Direction Ministries (2007-2008), and now focus on journeying with others as we grow in a more attentive life with God, ourselves and others.

My involvement in both church and para-church ministry has encompassed most of my adult life. I'm forever grateful for the few treasured friends who provide a place of realness for me...realness about my own joys AND challenges. Because of these few, I love creating safe space for others to honestly voice their own struggles, questions and joys in their everyday life and ministries.

Married to Mike for 40 years and now living in Costa Mesa, CA, I enjoy hiking, bicycling, reading, gardening, time with friends, cooking, trying new restaurants, being outside, and especially our weekly noisy, messy, usually delightful dinner at our home with kids and grandkids!

About Me

I've been trained through the Institute for Spiritual Formation at Talbot School of Theology and graduated with my M.A. in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care in May 2013. I have also served as a pastor at an evangelical church, and I lead trips to Israel with Azusa Pacific University. I am currently in doctoral program to become a psychotherapist.

I consider it a privilege when someone shares part of their journey with me in the spiritual direction relationship. I know that God is present with each person that I meet with, and I love creating space for Him to continue to reveal His heart to him or her.

I am available for individual and group direction, as well as facilitating retreats.

About Me

I stand in awe of how God takes our gifts, passions, longings, experiences and brokenness and uses all for his glory as we offer them daily to God. Creating a safe and welcoming space for others to tell their sacred story, to hear and to respond to God’s love brings me joy, causes me to depend more fully upon the Spirit and to bow in worship.

What a delight to discover this unique part of what God created me to do as I went through training in the Art of Spiritual Direction at the Center for Spiritual Development in Orange, CA with the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange and Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles,. I felt like I had come home. I have been offering spiritual direction since 2005, and supervision since 2007.

A great joy is serving as a mentor for the students in the Art of Spiritual Direction for their final two years of training.

God has brought directees in all stages of life from young mothers to the elderly. Although not currently employed in healthcare, I have worked as an occupational therapy assistant and have special empathy for those with health challenges. I love the holistic aspect of both spiritual direction and occupational therapy - body, mind and spirit.

Over 40 years of marriage to my best friend has been a major part of God's formation in my life. My husband has worked in para-church and church ministry. Our grown son is also in full-time ministry. Spending time with them is a highlight of my life.

About Me

I am originally from Wisconsin, but have made my home in California since 1982. I moved quite often during my childhood and adult life. I have been a follower of Jesus since 1976, and with moving so often, I've been involved in a variety of different denominations within the Christian faith. Each denomination has its strengths and I'm so grateful for the varied background in faith that God has given me. I'm always amazed at how God takes our gifts, passions, brokenness and experiences and uses them for His glory as we offer them back to Him. I consider it a sacred privilege to hear a person's heart, and to facilitate them being able to respond to God's amazing love for them. I am honored and humbled beyond words, and bow in worshipful gratitude to our great God.
I was immensely blessed as I went through the training in the Art of Spiritual Direction with the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange and Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles. I truly felt like I had come home.
I have been offering spiritual direction since 2014. While I consider face-to-face meetings to be more desirable, I am available for direction via phone or email. To learn more or to get started with a Spiritual Director, call or email me at my contact information given in this listing.

About Me

We all need companions and guides on our spiritual journey. Sometimes, we simply need someone who can listen to our story and help us see God's movement in our lives. I am a certified spiritual director through Christos Center for Spiritual Formation. As a spiritual companion, I will help you discern the presence and leading of the Holy Spirit who is the true Spiritual Director.

My passion is creating safe places. Here, you can review, process, and notice where God is at work. Bring any concerns, challenges, and life experiences to this safe place. Through prayerful listening, conversation, and support and by using a variety of spiritual practices, I will assist you in listening to and responding to God.

Some of my life experiences include collegiate and community discipleship ministry with the Navigators, 35+ years of small group leadership/coaching, graduate studies at Dallas Theological Seminary, and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, part of a church plant in Maryland and infant adoption. I have also served in church’s music ministries, divorce recovery, mentor coaching, and lay counseling ministries. I am also a certified life coach.

God has used painful losses in my life to drive me to know Him in a deeper, more honest way. As a result, I have greater empathy, compassion, and hope for those experiencing loss.

My husband and I have four adult daughters. We are enjoying this season as empty-nesters. I love being with family and friends, reading, playing piano, biking, long walks and great talks.

Spiritual direction is a valuable tool for spiritual growth. If you feel alone on the journey and need a kindred soul to listen and pray as you explore the questions and direction of your life, consider me as your spiritual companion.

It would be my privilege to do this for you.

About Me

Journeying with someone in life is an honor because it opens the door to knowing that person in a deep way. Many times the trials in life can make us weary and exhausted. I know this because I have traveled that road myself. My hope is to offer a safe place to be heard and to hear from God. Spiritual direction offers the time and space to discover what God is doing in your life and to experience those "ah-ha" moments of insight and understanding.

I received my MA in Spiritual Direction and Soul Care from Talbot School of Theology. Currently, I am a Staff Spiritual Director for the Center for Spiritual Renewal. My group direction experience has ranged from high school leaders, women only, to co-ed groups. I enjoy leading retreats, especially those that introduce believers to new ways of coming before God and listening to Him.

I have been married for 24 years and have four amazing, fun teenagers/young adults. My extra time is spent painting, running, taking yoga classes, reading good books, and having great conversations and adventures with friends.

About Me

A desire for God, space, silence and listening was formed in my soul as a young girl growing up in the wide-open prairies of North Dakota. Since that time, I have had the privilege of companioning individuals and groups on their spiritual journey for forty plus years as my husband and I have lived and ministered with the Navigators throughout the US and overseas. I am a psychiatric nurse and have a part-time counseling practice.

In 1999 I received my certificate in spiritual formation from Eastern Mennonite Seminary. Since then I have been offering spiritual direction to individuals and groups and leading silent retreats. In 2006 God led a friend and me to co-found JourneyMates, a contemplative, non-denominational ministry dedicated to help people grow in intimacy with the Triune God through intentionally making space in the rhythm of our everyday life to come apart for silence, solitude, Scriptural reflection, prayer and spiritual companioning.

God has given me a passion to connect with people on their spiritual journeys to awaken a greater awareness of God’s presence in their lives and help them more deeply experience the joy and freedom of His unconditional love. Believing that God is our Ultimate Director, as the Good Shepherd of our souls, and that He is always active and present in our lives, my desire is to listen well to Him and to the individual noticing how God is present and active in their life whether it is in their pain, joy, confession, questions, anger, or delight.

I live in Raleigh, North Carolina with my dear husband, and we are graced with four married children and 13 grandchildren.

About Me

God has led me through a lifetime of spiritual adventures that have unveiled His gracious presence in my deepest joys and sorrows and it's a blessing to prayerfully come alongside others seeking Him in everyday life. I have been a pediatric nurse practitioner for 38 years and graduated from Talbot School of Theology in 2012 with a Masters Degree in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care, serving as a Spiritual Director at the Center for Spiritual Renewal at Biola for 5 years.

Family relationships and parenting are the joy of my life with 40 years of marriage, parenting three children to adulthood in the Lord and discovering the joy of being a grandma to 3 little ones. I have served on short term medical mission teams to Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Africa and India and enjoy hiking, skiing, whitewater rafting, photography, singing, journaling and talking with friends.

I treasure listening to the Lord with another as “deep calls to deep” and am thankful to be anchored in God's Word and His transforming power through the Holy Spirit.“You have turned my mourning into dancing.” Ps. 30:11

About Me

One of my favorite metaphors for spiritual direction is that of midwife. A Spiritual Director is like a midwife who opens her heart’s home in holy hospitality. I like to create a safe place for women and attend to a process that has a life of its own.

My desire is to walk with women who are on their own spiritual journey. I enjoy creating a welcoming place as I listen well, both to the person and to God.

I am the co-founder of Unhurried Living, along with my husband, Alan. We inspire Christian leaders around the world to rest deeper so they can live fuller and lead better. We provide training and content that helps people lead from fullness rather than leading on empty.

I have 15 years’ experience in church ministry with youth, young adults, families, women, worship and prayer. I have certifications in spiritual direction from the Monastery of the Risen Christ (1-year program), as well as The Leadership Institute (3-year program).

“As a holy listener …. I have to put myself out of the way, to become humble in the true sense of knowing my place in the order of God’s creation …. above, all, I must be reverent, for I am entrusted with something precious and tender.” (Margaret Guenther)

About Me

I am a daughter of the King, wife, mother, and soul practitioner whose passion it is to walk alongside women as they discover the fullest expression of who God has designed them to be: holy and whole in spirit, soul, and body. I hold a Certificate in Spiritual Direction from Aquinas Institute of Theology and am currently serving as the Director of Soul Care for Holy Yoga Ministries. In Holy Yoga I have the privilege to accompany ministry leaders as they learn to be with Jesus. I am a recovering busybody for the church and through practices of lectio divina, contemplative prayer, sabbath and retreat I have found the treasure of being with my Lord instead of being overworked for Him. I meet with directees in person in the St. Louis area or via Skype or FaceTime. New directees are welcome.

About Me

Simply put, for me, Spiritual Direction has become a journeying-together with another soul. My hope in sessions is that – together – we will notice how God and the Holy Spirit are present and/or moving in your life. My only wish is that noticing will help you find your way into a deeper, more intimate relationship with the Triune God.
I was born and raised in northern New Jersey, and moved to Georgia in 1998. After moving to Georgia, I worked as a bank teller until I felt a call that would take me down a slightly different path. I trusted God enough to leave my job in the Fall of 2009. Unexpectly, I found my way back to school and received a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling, with specializations in Spirituality & Counseling and Trauma Counseling, from Richmont Graduate University in May 2014. Not long after graduation I sensed a strong desire to journey with other souls seeking a closer relationship with God. I soon found myself enrolled in the new graduate certificate program for Spiritual Direction at Richmont, which I completed in December 2015. I have flexibility in locations to meet for spiritual direction - either at my office in East Cobb or The Agape Center for Spiritual Formation in Roswell.

About Me

I consider it a great privilege and joy to come alongside others on their journey with Christ and serve as a caring witness to their relationship with Him. I received a masters degree in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care from Talbot School of Theology and loved my years as a spiritual director to the undergraduates at Biola University. I now live in Mesa, Arizona where I serve as the Worship Arts Pastor at a church here.

About Me

My heart and passion in spiritual direction is to create an environment for individuals to come and be a soul in God’s presence. Spiritual direction is an invitation to explore, and engage the miracle, the mystery and the movement of Christ in you and to experience the deep heart of God which leads to freedom and abundant life in Christ. Together we seek to discover your true desires so that you can live into the giftedness and purpose that God has planted in your heart. Colossians 1:27 tells us that, “God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”

Just like a caterpillar is created specifically to become a butterfly, each of us is created to be first a child of God in relationship with Him, and second to claim our unique presence in our community. Just like the caterpillar, we need to be transformed from the inside out. The caterpillar spins a cocoon called a chrysalis in which it is encased, and it’s molecular structure is completely transformed into a butterfly. Spiritual direction is like a chrysalis where transformation happens. There is a great mystery in how God transforms a caterpillar into a butterfly. There is also a great ministry in how the Spirit transforms a human soul. In spiritual direction we open ourselves to this mystery, to the Holy Spirit’s transforming presence by engaging various spiritual practices, such as Lectio Divina, Visio Divina, Centering Prayer, etc.

I’m a graduate of Trinity International University (BA in Group & Interpersonal Communications), earned a Certificate in Spiritual Transformation (from the Transforming Center) and a Certification in Spiritual Direction (from Christos Center for Spiritual Formation).

My personal interests are in health & wellness, exercise, yoga, crocheting, crafting in many different forms, seeing God’s creation through my camera, and organizing.

About Me

I started my career in the business world and transitioned into full time ministry about 10 years ago. I've worked as a pastor of spiritual formation and as a director of a Christian retreat center. I have a masters degree in theology from Wheaton Graduate School and received my spiritual direction training from Richmont Graduate University where I received a Master of Arts in Spiritual Formation and Direction. I am also a graduate of the Renovare Institute of Spiritual Formation. I became a Christian through the Navigators in college.

Major spiritual influences: the lives and writings of Ole Hallesby, George MacDonald, and Dallas Willard.

As far as hobbies and interests are concerned, I love mountain biking, traveling, cross country skiing, reading and am now working hard at learning German.

I'm a big believer in the need for our lives and ministries to flow from a heart seriously and continually seeking intimacy with our Father. I offer spiritual direction to anyone who wishes to grow closer to Christ.

About Me

It’s all about people. This is the motto that feeds my life and the reason why I so greatly treasure the opportunity to come alongside others as a spiritual director.

I see it as an incredible honour to listen to and accompany others in their spiritual journey as they seek to gain a deeper knowledge of themselves and a deeper knowledge of the Father. It is such a gift to catch glimpses of what the Holy Spirit is doing in the lives of others! Whether you are experiencing a joyful season or a season of grief, whether it is a season to be celebrated or a time filled with questions and disappointment, my desire is to create a safe space for you as you journey inwards towards a deeper relationship with the Father.

Even though I was born in England, I spent the majority of my formative years in Spain. I have also lived for a significant period of time in South Africa and, most recently, in the USA, where I completed my Master of Divinity with an emphasis in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care at Talbot School of Theology and trained as a Spiritual Director. I believe that my cross-cultural experience has greatly shaped me into being the person that I am today, deepening my empathy towards others and broadening my ability to sit with others no matter the circumstances.

I have been married to my wonderful husband, Jon, for 3 years, and enjoy hiking, travelling, cooking and all things chocolate.

About Me

I grew up in Northern Ghana as the son of missionaries. My life story developed marrying a Floridian 27 years ago and have three adult children. It has been a journey that included being a professional pilot, a missionary, a sojourner…yet one of greatest gifts along the path has been the freedom in encountering the knowing the Fathers love for me. It was always so, however now I can live as if I wasn’t less loved. I received a diploma in spiritual direction form Manresa Centre for Spirituality in Dublin, and practice in person in Ireland or via Skype to clients around the world. Fear, worry, anxiety and shame are all a part of who we are…yet His still small voice calls you to trust…trust in new ways, Please let me know how I may accompany your spiritual journey in listening and knowing Jesus in beautiful ways to His Peace and freedom.

About Me

Over the past 40 years I’ve served as a pastor in 4 different churches. In October of 2015 I completed 9 years of service in my current position. One of the reasons for concluding this phase of my ministry is so that I can devote more time and energy to one of the real passions in my life: spiritual formation and direction ministry. In order to prepare myself for this phase of my life and ministry I completed a two year certificate program in Spiritual Formation and Direction from CFDM (WWW.cfdm.org). I continue to grow as a spiritual director and spiritual formation coach. As a trained spiritual director, I support others in finding the next step on their spiritual path. My ministry is strongly rooted in the Judaeo-Christian Tradition, but I honor all traditions and practices.

About Me

“God comes to us disguised as our lives”…I have always found that statement to be intriguing. Have you ever considered that God could be speaking to you through the ordinary circumstances of your life? Where is God at work in your life and what are His invitations to you?

My calling is to offer spiritual companionship to women as they navigate the many roles, relationships and transitions in their lives and help them to find freedom in Christ in their places of brokenness, fear and shame. I long to help women awaken to the Presence of God in their daily lives and I seek to offer a safe harbor, a place where others can feel seen, heard and received in the love of Christ.

I received my training in Spiritual Direction through Christian Formation and Direction Ministries (CFDM) in Los Angeles, CA, along with 2 years of soul care training for church leaders at Biola University’s Institute of Spiritual Formation. I have been married to the love of my life for 29 years and have 2 adult children and a 150 pound Bullmastiff, named Bentley.

About Me

I am so blessed to offer spiritual direction and have a great love for helping Christians recognize all the ways that God is active in their lives. No matter what our circumstances, God is continually loving, teaching, redeeming and healing us. I am enthusiastic about creativity and the arts, and teach on play, improvisation, creativity and worship. God has also walked with me through relational and physical pain (previous broken marriage, breast cancer, ailing parents). Through those experiences, God has developed in me a deeper compassion for our weaknesses and a marvel at what He can do for us in the midst of our trials.

I have been giving spiritual direction since 2003, and supervising directors since 2005. I received a master’s degree in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care from Biola University where I also received my direction training. Having lived in Toronto, Canada, and Dallas, TX, I'm now back home in Southern California with my husband Matthew, who is a scholar and writer in Christian spirituality and neuropsychology. I was blessed to be the founding director of ESDA for its first 5 years. I now work in Content Development for Grafted Life, specializing in creating interactive experiences that help people relate more deeply and directly to God and each other.

About Me

My 30 years as a pastor and 30 years in business provides a unique combination to offer spiritual direction.

I provide spiritual accompaniment for adults of all ages, with a special focus on helping younger men develop core biblical and theological instincts, rhythms, and faith in rapidly changing, secular, and culturally pluralistic contexts.

I also specialize in adapting monastic forms, ancient liturgies, and historic Christian practices to create “Road to Emmaus” type encounters. These are custom-designed, interactive, communal, holistic, immersion-based, and educational, centered in Word and Table.

I’m akin to a pastor player-coach; I still work in business and face many of the same daily challenges as those working in the marketplace do. I have also been a church planting pastor; and non-profit ministry director. I’m married to Lynn and have two adult sons, both married, and two grandchildren. Our home church is North Seattle Alliance (C&MA).

From 2005 -2010, I updated my seminary education with a DMin degree from Bakke Graduate University, Seattle, WA. My dissertation resulted in a published book, entitled, “Luke-Acts Improv: Biblical Narratives That Get You into The Act”, Harmon Press.

During that same time, my prayer was significantly transformed by the Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius of Loyola and studies in improvisation.

In recent years, my experience has been significantly impacted by becoming a Benedictine Oblate, at Westminster Abbey, Mission, BC, Canada. The Benedictine Rule, with its spirituality of work, has a great deal to offer the individual grappling with issues of work-life balance.

It’s a joy to be able to offer these streams of living water in Christ to support and encourage others, “that their hearts may be encouraged as they are knit together in love, to have all the riches of assured understanding and the knowledge of God’s mystery, of Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. (Colossians 2:2-3)

About Me

I received my training as a spiritual director at Biola’s Institute for Spiritual Formation. I have two seminary degrees--an MA in Philosophy of Religion and an MA in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care--both from Talbot School of Theology.

I am passionate about grace and truth and learning to be full of both after the example of our Lord. I believe that the ministry of spiritual direction is for everyone who is open to a deeper, different, and possibly disruptive experience of God and themselves. Wherever you are--whether in green pastures, beside still waters, or the valley of the shadow of death--God is with you and at work within you. It would be my privilege to join you on your journey and to look and listen along with you as we discern together what God is doing in your life.

My heart goes out to all who feel unknown, unseen, and unsupported by the church; to those who feel like their faith isn’t “working” for them the way that it used to or perhaps are wondering if it ever worked at all; to everyone who feels that what he believes, wants to believe, or should believe doesn’t match the fullness of his experience. Our God is big enough for every question and every experience, and I believe He is pleased by the courage and trust it takes to bring these things to Him.

A little more about me: I’ve worked in Evangelical megachurches for the past 15 years, but I’m committed to ecumenism. The best week of my life was spent serving and praying along Franciscan Friars at a homeless shelter in the Bronx. I am especially interested in the spirituality and struggles of men, as well as embodied spirituality generally. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, swing dancing, and mixed martial arts.

About Me

I have been a Christ-follower for much of my life; making a formal commitment to Him when I was seventeen. In recent years I have begun exploring the contemplative side of Christianity, and I find it very fulfilling. It is this exploration that led me into spiritual direction. I love having the opportunity to walk with fellow Christians and see them growing closer to Jesus. In addition, I have been interpreting in American Sign Language for the past 17 years, and am fluent in ASL, so I am offering my services as a spiritual director to ASL users as well.

About Me

I have lived in the suburbs of Atlanta almost my whole life. I am married to my cherished wife Wendy and we have a precious 10-year-old daughter, Anna Jane. My hobbies include playing golf (if you could call what I do as actually playing) and reading. But my real joy is found in playing silly games with my daughter.

I have been a bi-vocational pastor for 24 years. I was ordained in the Christian Church, but have served in pastoral positions in Christian, United Methodist, Baptist, and non-denominational churches. My secular job is as an electrical engineering manager and I also serve as the Co-Director of the Spiritual Direction Program at Richmont Graduate University in Atlanta. I offer spiritual direction to both sisters and brothers in Christ and anyone else who desires to grow closer to God.

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech in 1987. I then went to Candler School of Theology at Emory University & earned a Masters of Theological Studies degree in 1992. More recently I received training as a Spiritual Director by completing the Graduate Certificate Program in Spiritual Direction at North Park Seminary in 2012. I also earned a Doctorate of Ministry degree in Spiritual Formation jointly with the Ashland Theological Seminary and the Renovare' Institute in January 2014. My dissertation project was the creation of a self-assessment tool – called the Christian Formation Inventory - to assist individuals in personal reflection on their own Christian formation.

It is my call and my joy to be a “friend of the Bridegroom.” It is my privilege to walk alongside others and assist them as they discern God’s voice and go ever deeper in their intimacy with God through Jesus Christ.

About Me

If you have a deep longing to experience the love of God in fellowship with the Holy Spirit in Communion with the Trinity, come let us journey together.

In 1997 the Lord refocused my life and called me to serve Him. I began to explore ministry options. Following a two-year program in polity, I became a licensed minister in the Disciples of Christ in Colorado after completion of a Graduate Certificate in Spiritual Guidance at Denver Seminary in 2005. I served as a Chaplain Intern, created a pastoral care ministry, formed a spiritual direction practice, conducted retreats, and mentored Denver Seminary students. While I stayed "busy" for the Lord, I often asked myself "Is this all there is?" Then my life in ministry changed at an Imago Discovery Discovery Retreat in 2006. This experience led me to explore the possibility of belonging to a Spiritual Formation Community and in 2011, I became a partner of Imago Christi. That same year, I relocated to Chicago where I served in the Transformation Conversations and Mentoring program with Wheaton Students at Church of the Resurrection. In 2013, my husband, Steve, accepted a positon in Florida where we currently reside. I have a spiritual direction practice and am developing a spiritual formation ministry to African Refugee women in the area.

It has always been the yearning of my heart to enter more fully into the presence of the Holy Trinity and to be a passionate follower of Jesus Christ. Out of that experience of God, I desire to journey with others, particularly Christian leaders, who want to discover deep relationship with Jesus.

I am on staff with CRM (Church Resource Ministries) and a CORE member on the leadership team of Imago Christi, a ministry of CRM Church Next and I work with pastors and church leadership in the area of spiritual formation. In addition, I have coordinated spiritual directors at Renovare retreats, conducted women's retreats, and addressed groups on spiritual formation. My experience also includes healing ministry and intercessory prayer.

About Me

"There is only one problem on which all my existence, my peace, and my happiness depend; to discover myself in discovering God. If I find Him, I will find myself, and if I find my true self I will find Him. ~Thomas Merton

This quote summarizes the core of my calling and ministry. I find it a privilege to journey alongside individuals as they learn and deepen their awareness of themselves and of God. It has been in my own experience of spiritual direction that I've experienced this transformation of life most deeply.

I was trained through the Selah spiritual direction certificate program through Leadership Transformations, Inc. I am also a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I have extensive experience in both mental health practice (having been practicing since 2009 and supervising other counselors since 2010) and in spiritual direction practice (having been offering spiritual direction since 2009). Due to my mental health practice experience, I specialize in providing spiritual direction to women who are recovering from traumatic events.

About Me

Working in the ministry and counseling field since 1991, I've developed a passion to see people free to experience the fullness of what God has for them. After 12 years on the ministry staff of a large church I ventured out into private practice. I'm excited to be part of the journey as others begin to experience the transformation by the renewing of their minds! Romans 12:1-2 is foundational for the kind of change I know is possible as we look toward the Spirit and His gentle lead rather than the continual conforming to what the world poses as truth.

I've been formally trained in the areas of Marriage and Family Therapy, Spiritual Direction, Neurofeedback as well as Mediation.

My husband Dan and I have been married 29 years and together we enjoy camping, biking, leading marriage retreats, sharing life with friends and getting to know our grandkids as they become the awesome individuals they are!

About Me

I love to see God reveal Himself to others, and it is a joy for me to encourage a life-giving connection to Him. Life is busy, hurried, and noisy at times. Through spiritual direction I love to offer a quiet and unhurried space to give thoughtful consideration to one’s life with God.

God longs to be gracious and compassionate to us. He has expressed His perfect love through Jesus Christ, and desires that we experience this love and be made whole and holy by it. Because of my own experiences of His life-changing grace, my passion is to see people of all ages experience Him intimately. As a spiritual director, it is my privilege to come alongside others to help them notice and be responsive to God's loving presence in all of life. Through reflecting on our life story, asking questions, and prayerful listening, we see evidence of God's grace. We notice together ways God is at work within and around us, and discern His direction and calling.

God desires to transform us more and more into the likeness of Christ. As a spiritual director, I support you as you open yourself to that deepening work, anchoring you in Biblical truth, so you can live into your full potential in Christ and then live that out in the world. Spiritual practices are offered that help you draw closer to God in ways that are meaningful for you.

I received my training in spiritual direction through Sustainable Faith, and have been practicing spiritual direction since 2012. I have also participated in a two-year spiritual formation program through the Transforming Center. In addition, I have been trained to use the Enneagram, a tool for spiritual transformation, facilitating groups and helping individuals to better understand their profiles.

I have been married for 31 years to a remarkable man, David. We have enjoyed the privilege of serving together in church ministry for nearly three decades. We have six wonderful adult children, all of whom I refer to as my greatest earthly treasures!

About Me

Trained at Sustainable Faith's School of Spiritual Direction in Cincinnati, Ohio, I've been offering spiritual direction to both groups and individuals since 2010. I am now an instructor for the school, training Cohorts in Portland and Seattle. I also served as a Vineyard pastor for nearly fourteen years.

Born in Hawaii, I grew up in a military family, so I lived in several different states. Five different Elementary Schools, two Middle Schools and three High Schools taught me the value of adaptability (among other things). I eventually followed my sweetheart, Tracey, from Oregon to Southern California where we were married in 1975. Together we raised three children, two of whom have increased the Henry tribe by marrying amazing spouses.

Originally ordained with Calvary Chapel after completing their bible college, I served as a worship leader at Calvary Chapel Valle Vista, and then worship Pastor at North Coast Calvary Chapel. On the winding path from California to Ohio I traversed multi-collar worlds: climbing up telephone poles, down into manholes, designing internet architecture for the phone company, and eventually pausing midlife to complete my Bachelor of Science Degree in Management Information Systems. (What a long, strange trip it's been ;)

In 2008 I was invited by Lyman Coleman to prototype a groundbreaking and transformative men’s retreat and group experience for the Vineyard, thus ruining me for traditional small groups and small talk forever. My love for "men's work" continues unabated, meshing wonderfully with the practice of spiritual direction.

I currently meet clients at two locations in Greater Cincinnati, one North, one South. I have flexible hours and will do my best to accommodate your schedule. I also regularly offer direction via Skype or Facetime. For more information please visit my website www.pilgrimheart.io (NOT dot.com) or e-mail me at dan@pilgrimheart.io. Our first consultation is free.

About Me

My passion is helping women create "sacred space" of deeper intimacy with Jesus Christ in the midst of their life circumstances, in order to experience greater wholeness and deeper peace. I was trained through Sustainable Faith School of Spiritual Direction.

I also hold an M.Div in Pastoral Counseling, an M.A. in Biblical Studies and a D.Min in Spiritual Formation from Ashland Theological Seminary in Ohio. I serve the Lord as auxilliary staff at Christ the King Vineyard Church in North Olmsted, Ohio. I also served 20 years on staff at a Pregnancy Care Center, and as executive director for the last 7 years. I am a single mom of 5 married children, 15 grandchildren and 5 "great-grands." Next to the Lord, these all are the loves of my life.

About Me

God’s loving presence has never not been with us, yet is it not within our human nature to ask ourselves, “is God really there?”, and if He is, how can I be sure He really loves me?

My heart is to offer a safe and sacred space for individuals to review, process and observe what God might be whispering about His intimate personal presence and love for them. My goal is to help people respond to God through conversation, prayer and guidance with various spiritual practices.

I am a certified as a Spiritual Director through The Sustainable Faith, Inc. School of Spiritual Direction (http://www.sustainablefaith.com). I am also certified in lay counseling disciplines through The American Association of Christian Counselors. I am a Recommended Facilitator with oneLifemaps, LLC (www.onelifemaps.com) whose Listen to My Life Maps were created into a portfolio of unique visual maps that help people document their life stories for the purpose of spiritual growth and meaningful action.

My experience serving at my church (www.willowcreek.org) includes: volunteer pastor on call, group leader in various support ministries, retreat workshop speaker and leadership within a Spiritual Mentoring Ministry.

My husband Jac and I were married in 1975. We have four adult children and six precious grandchildren. During our first 17 years my husband’s military career moved us many times. We've lived in Texas, Indiana, Pennsylvania, The Netherlands and Germany. I enjoy hanging out with my grand-kids, taking long walks, playing the piano, reading and photography. Due to the variety of my life experiences I am comfortable meeting with multi-cultures, men or women and especially those in church leadership.

About Me

I am a graduate of the Institute for Spiritual Formation where I received an MA in Spiritual Formation and Soulcare in 2008, and have been practicing spiritual direction since 2006.

I have found my spiritual life often parallels my physical journey through life with its various twists and turns. I am from the South and have lived in various states throughout that area. I received my MDiv from Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham, Alabama, moved to Tennesee when I got married, and followed God's leading to California where we find ourselves at present. Through it all, God has used these experiences in my formation to shape me to become more like Jesus, and this is what I enjoy about direction - companioning with people where they find themselves in their journey with God and helping them discern His presence in their lives.

About Me

Are you a church staff member, missionary or a lay leader? Do you find yourself at a place where you have more questions than answers about your relationship with the Lord or vocation? Have you heard of Spiritual Direction but you are unsure if it’s a good fit for you? I would enjoy connecting with you. If we decide we are a good fit for one another, I’d love to be with you as you explore the activity of God in your life. If we are not a good fit, but you remain interested in Spiritual Direction, I’d love to help connect you to another Director.

I live in a northern suburb of Dallas. I currently attend a non-denominational Bible church. I graduated from Fuller Theological Seminary in 2008 with a Master of Arts in Theology. I completed the Selah Spiritual Direction Training program in 2013.

I’m married. We have an adult son. If interested, you can become more familiar with my journey at www.beloved-daughter.blogspot.com

About Me

My spiritual direction practice is founded on the Holy Spirit being the Chief Spiritual Director who uniquely moves, guides, and reveals the directee to the truth -- to the truth of oneself and to the truth of God. The spiritual direction session is a particular time, space, and place to watch with the directee the activity and presence of the Holy Spirit's moving, guiding, and revelation of the truth (John 16:13). My job is to serve in that time, space, and place as your companion along the journey of faith with compassion and insight.

My philosophy for spiritual direction has been influenced by my training at Biola's Institute of Spiritual Formation. By May of 2017 I will have received by MDiv. with an emphasis in spiritual formation at Talbot School of Theology (Biola University). I serve a Staff Spiritual Director at the Center for Spiritual Renewal at Biola University.

I also work full-time as the State Director of the California School Project, a ministry of National School Project, a non-profit ministry seeking to reach high school students with the gospel.

I enjoy spending vacation and time off at our national parks. I also enjoy hiking, surfing, swimming, bowling, and NBA basketball.

About Me

Deirdré Jansen Van Rensburg was born and raised in South-Africa. She accepted Christ in 1989 in her home church where church leadership affirmed a pastoral gift on her life and ordained her in 1995 as the first female pastor on staff. Since then Deirdré has been actively involved in pastoral ministry. In 2003 Deirdré and her husband Paul, moved to Chicago to accept staff positions at Willow Creek Community Church where she served in the Pastoral Response Department for almost a decade 2009-2016. She is passionate about being present with people in ways that increase their awareness of [and response to] God’s presence, His love and redeeming work in them. She has navigated her own seasons of heartache and loss by clinging to the tender love and irrevocable care of a God who stays faithful and steadfast when all else is shaken. She holds an Advanced Certificate in Trauma and Abuse Counseling from the Seattle School of Psychology and Theology. She completed two years of certified training in spiritual direction through Sustainable Faith. She is also a Sustainable Faith teacher and cohort leader equipping others in spiritual direction. In her free time she loves to do mosaic art, have soulful conversations over a cup of tea, take long walks and enjoy quality family time with her husband and daughter Yané.

About Me

I am an Iowa farm girl, mother of 3 boys, PE teacher/coach, grandma to seven - and now a Spiritual Director! I have a graduate certificate in spiritual formation with the Transforming Community (Northern Seminary) and am a certified spiritual director from the School of Spiritual Direction (Sustainable Faith). I will be certified to accompany the Ignatian Exercises. My husband and I have worked with missionaries for many years in South Asia. I lead retreats for church women and am passionate about the need for a more reflective life in today's frenetic culture. What I love about spiritual direction is the front row seat I get to have in listening to and noticing the Holy Spirit's work in others' lives. I love to accompany those who are just beginning to find their calling before God, as well as those who are further along in their faith journey. I believe that we cannot grow spiritually alone. We each need someone travelling the road beside us, listening to us and then paying attention at the same time to the Holy Spirit and to scriptural guidance. I love to pray with others or just be silent with them in their search for God In Life As It Is.

About Me

I long for a vibrant and intimate relationship with God and have been profoundly touched by the relationships I’ve encountered along the way in my own spiritual journey. The art of listening and compassionate care; to walk alongside of another in life’s journey, is a unique experience, one that can be so life-giving. It’s my pleasure to companion souls as a spiritual director, as a spiritual friend.

I am a creative. I paint, design, craft and enjoy the varied expressions of the human soul through the arts. I've taken to heart the Apostle Paul's desire to ""labor until Christ be formed in you"" and find in it a way to describe my vocation in life. I'm also a pastor at a local church in Costa Mesa, California.

I received an MDIV in pastoral ministries and a MA in Spiritual Formation/Soul Care at Talbot School of Theology. I have a rich and varied experience of serving God and his people through cross-cultural and local missional work, teaching in churches and in universities, facilitating small group and individual spiritual direction and retreats, and participation in community outreach.

About Me

As a spiritual director, I am a faithful and engaged listener who compassionately companions and encourages others to a deeper understanding of their belovedness in Jesus. My personal life call is to love and know God with intention, vigor, and passion. (Jeremiah 9:34)

I have walked my own wilderness journey with the Lord, and from there my desire was stirred to companion believers while they walk out their own journeys with Jesus. I have walked through divorce, single-parenting, remarriage and merging a blended family. Years in the wilderness deepened my love for Jesus and shaped my spiritual journey like nothing else has. I have been a military wife, a registered nurse, and I have directed a Christian ministry.

I encourage people on their journeys at different levels. I offer individual and group spiritual direction and some coaching. I speak at retreats on spiritual intimacy and growing deeper in Christ, and I also host contemplative group retreats in my home. It is a joy to see people journey with Christ and each other for a day!

I received my Spiritual Direction training from Selah (Leadership Transformations). I have completed the Transforming Center’s program for Spiritual Transformation, Larry Crabb’s New Way School of Spiritual Direction, and I am currently enrolled in Coaching the Heart program from Leadership MetaFormation.

I am married to my best friend Ken, and we have a large and loud family of five children, three daughters-in-love, and three grandchildren. I live in the mountains of southwest Colorado, and I like to check off the boxes of a good Coloradan by hiking, running on trails, and sitting on my porch looking at the mountains.

About Me

Years ago I felt the Lord say to me, "I have made you to be like Silas, one who comes along side." I have discovered that the deeper meaning of this calling is in spiritual direction. I count it a privilege to journey along side others as we walk with God in our direction appointments.

I hold a Masters of Divinity from The Master's Institute and have served as the Assistant Pastor at Hope Church in Phoenix, AZ since 2009. I have also completed the two year school of spiritual direction offered by Sustainable Faith as a means of following the Lords call. My wife and I founded It's For Freedom in 2015 to expand the ministry of inner healing, deliverance and spiritual direction.

I also enjoy and am available to lead retreats and teach workshops on the topics of inner healing, deliverance, soul care and spiritual direction.

About Me

I am thankful for the opportunity to “companion” with others in their journey with God to wholeness and holiness. I also have experience working with those who have faced what Kathy Escobar calls “Faith Shifts” or hitting up against “the wall”.

Educationally, I have an M.Div. from an evangelical seminary. More recently I earned a Ph.D. researching the effectiveness of a discipleship process “taking the gospel to the remotest parts of the. . . heart.” That has led to publishing three journal articles. Thirteen years ago I discovered well-seasoned authors who lived and wrote about the depths of spiritual formation. This exposure led me to complete training in spiritual direction.

Serving 31 years in the U.S. Army as a Chaplain (Colonel) has led me to serve in three state Army National Guards, six years of active duty including a tour in Germany, and two mobilization tours with the Army Reserve. I also worked as a pastor/church planter, planting two churches in the Intermountain West. I now serve as an elder in my local congregation.

For 20 mostly joy-filled years, I was a head soccer coach for everything from youth recreation to club to high school and college levels. The privilege of training skills and shaping the character of young people was deeply satisfying. I was employed as a regional marketing representative in the five-state area of the Intermountain West for 19 years.

My journey and careers have taken me to many different places and I found success in each of these areas, but along the way I hit a hard life transition that took me into a mid-grade depression in mid-life. Taking time to reflect on this with others has enabled me to embrace my journey, seeing God working and shaping me. This helped usher me into the second half of life to grow in wisdom. I look forward to companioning with others in light of what God is teaching me.

My wife and I live in Meridian, Idaho. We have been married since 1972 and have three grown sons and three grandchildren.

About Me

As you bring your questions, concerns and yearnings to God often the tables are turned and you’ll find Jesus asking you the questions “Who do you say I am” and “What is it you want”? As a Spiritual Director my role is, by attentive listening, to be a mirror to help you see the patterns in your own life and a window to help you see the workings of God in all things. I offer a wealth of life experience, including living in other cultures. My education includes an MBA and a Masters in Spiritual Formation. About Me

"Take off your shoes, for this is holy ground." This is my response to what happens in direction as I walk alongside others, hear their stories and watch them discover that God is always speaking. I rejoice as they see what it's taken me a lifetime to learn - to listen to God in prayer and feel his presence amidst whatever we face. Even pain and doubt have their place and can be redeemed as we allow him to weave our messy threads into something of beauty. I'm humbled again every time I see it, and so grateful.

In 2005 a friend introduced me to the gift of Spiritual Direction and I felt I'd found what I'd been searching for most of my life: a way to deepen my awareness of God's presence and love. Through this practice, I've discovered the peace of contemplative prayer, gained a deeper understanding of my self, and felt a growing desire to pass it on. In 2012 I began training with Selah, a two-year Spiritual Direction certificate program under the guidance of Leadership Transformations, Inc. Their teaching set a high bar for what it means to be a welcoming presence for God's love and grace. I pray I can live out this calling by being a holy listener as others respond to the invitations of his Spirit.

In addition to the ministry of Spiritual Direction, I have served as a facilitator for women's groups and a speaker for women's gatherings. In recent years, God has given me a heart for those who struggle with addiction, as well as for those nearing death. I hope to offer sacred space to any who need God's grace, good news and hope.

About Me

My passion is to companion with others on their journey to a deepening love relationship with the triune God. In the direction session I provide space for directees to listen for the quiet voice of the Holy Spirit as they explore the mysteries of God’s loving nature illuminated in His Word. Just as I have found a deep peace as Abba’s beloved child through spiritual direction, I also desire to come alongside others as they discover His personal offer of overflowing hope (Romans 15:13).

I first encountered contemplative practices over 20 years ago in a community church where I learned to follow Jesus’ call to abide in Him and, through spiritual retreats, to find rest apart from the demands of a busy world. God’s Presence and guidance through the contemplative life has provided a firm foundation to my roles in the corporate world, in ministry, and as a wife to my husband Dave.

I have been in vocational ministry since 2000, living and serving internationally in a variety of roles and settings. Since 2006 I have been based in Columbia, South Carolina where I am involved in the ministry of member care, serving cross-cultural workers through pastoral care, debriefing, mentoring, and spiritual direction, as well as serving in the local Christian community through teaching, small group and retreat facilitation, and spiritual direction.

I hold a Certificate in Spiritual Direction from Selah (Leadership Transformations). My academic training includes an MA in Pastoral Counseling and Spiritual Formation and a Doctor of Ministry in Member Care, both from Columbia International University. I began my professional career as an optometrist before being called to serve overseas as an international public health and development consultant.

Welcome and thanks for taking a moment to read this bio. My name is Jen and I am honored to walk with others in their relationship with Christ. I graduated from the Institute for Spiritual Formation at Talbot Theological Seminary in May 2010. During my time there I received training in spiritual direction and found it to be such a lovely way in which to journey with others. I currently offer individual and group direction for men and women, and also am available for chapel and retreat planning. My interests lie in helping others to freely approach the Lord, bringing this honesty into community, and creativity and storytelling for the non-artist. I am available to meet in Pasadena, as well as through Skype.

I formerly worked for Saddleback Church for 3.5 years, coordinating retreats for the Rancho Capistrano property. I recently relocated to Pasadena, California where I work for Caltech and on the side am creating a non-profit retreat ministry. I thoroughly enjoy engaging in beauty: the company of good friends, interesting films, flavorful meals, reading a book, listening to a podcast or music, and a rich cup of coffee.

"The Risen Christ makes life a perpetual feast."

-Athanasius

About Me

I've been offering spiritual direction for more than a decade, and love meeting new people for prayer and discernment about working together. I'm one of the professors at a local seminary, teaching courses in Christian theology, spiritual formation, and spiritual direction. I also spent years as a piano teacher and worship leader, and served in staff and pastoral positions in the Mennonite church. I'm intrigued by the spirituality of Anne Morrow Lindbergh, the works of A. W. Tozer, and the contributions of spirituality to Christian ecumenical dialogue. I offer retreats and workshops on prayer, soul care, self-care, and other topics. I offer direction in Lititz, PA as well as Myerstown, PA.

About Me

God uses individual and group spiritual direction to open hearts to the work of the Holy Spirit within and around us. It is a sacred privilege to listen with others to our Father’s invitations for deeper intimacy as we abide in Christ in grief, joy and the everyday.

I completed an MA in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care at Talbot School of Theology where I was trained to be a Spiritual Director. I am also an Associate of ReNew within Church Resource Ministries. I am in my mid-40's and have spent a third of my life in Asia and Africa.

About Me

I love creating space for God to transform believers, their perception of God and their perception of self through spiritual direction. I work form a protestant/evangelical theological framework and I've had the privilege of walking with believers who are in various places in life (seminary students, seminary graduates, church leaders, counselors, retirees, singles, young professionals, in-betweens etc.). I'm originally from the Netherlands and have called Colorado home since 2010. I received my Master's of Divinity with a concentration in Christian spiritual formation and soul care from Denver Seminary in 2014 and I continue my education in Ignatian spirituality. In addition to offering one-on-one direction sessions, I enjoy speaking at retreats and facilitating sessions to retreatants.

Having grown up in a multi-cultural household, I'm fluent in Japanese, English and Dutch. I encounter God through worship, my direction sessions and through painting. I love traveling the world with my husband and we both have a deep appreciation for beauty in nature, architecture, photography and impressionist art.

Thank you for visiting my profile and I pray that the Holy Spirit will lead you as you discern who might be a suitable spiritual director for you. It would be an honor for me to journey with you and discover how the Lord is drawing you to Himself, in recognition that it is ultimately the Lord who draws us and brings us together.

About Me

I currently serve as a missionary in Poland and across Europe. I live in gratitude for the gift of my wife, Lisa, and our two children, Megan and Michael. I serve on Greater Europe Mission's Senior Leadership as the Leader for Spiritual Formation.

I sensed an invitation to the ministry of Spiritual Direction many years ago and enjoy serving others with this gift. While I prefer offering spiritual direction in person, I have experience in this ministry over Skype as well.

I hold a ThM from Dallas Theological Seminary and a DMin in Spiritual Formation for Ministry Leaders from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. I received my training in Spiritual Direction through Leadership Transformations’ Selah Certificate Program.

About Me

I consider it such an honor to prayerfully listen and journey with others as we discover together God's activity in their lives. My deep desire is to assist my directees into a greater intimacy and awareness of God's presence with them throughout their days. I especially enjoy practicing God's presence together.

My journey into spiritual formation and direction began about fifteen years ago when I was praying and seeking God on my identity. That night I woke up hearing the name St. Teresa. I didn't know anything about saints but when I discovered St. Teresa of Avila I was deeply touched to discover God's care for me. For God to hear my prayer and provide me with a woman from 500 years ago I could identify with was amazing.

Since that time I have consumed literature on St. Teresa,St.John of the Cross, the dessert mothers and fathers and mystics, church history,Christian spirituality, spiritual formation and disciplines, and of deepest interest of mine-contemplative prayer.

I have been on quite a journey and have enjoyed sharing with others along the way through offering spiritual formation book discussions, contemplative retreats,a weekly silent prayer gathering including lectio divina, contemplative prayer, journaling, creativity, and reflection. I am currently about to start a Christian Women's Contemplative Group.

The greatest blessing on my journey was the opportunity to complete my two year Spiritual Direction Certificate from the Institute of Christian Spirituality at Lipscomb University May of 2017. During the second year I had the privilege to go through the 19th Annotation of St. Ignatius of Loyola.

Currently I am offering spiritual direction in person, skype,or phone.I look forward to hearing your journey.

About Me

Spiritual direction facilitates a responsive relationship with God. A Regent College class in Vancouver, Canada, ignited my interest in learning more about it, which led to my graduation from Selah School of Spiritual Direction, (Leadership Transformations.inc) in 2014. Our Father softens and transforms us as we learn to attend to what He is doing. The work He does in each session – so perfectly attuned to the uniqueness of each directee – consistently amazes me. And skype sessions being as effective as live meetings, has been a real surprise to me. Besides sometimes needing to negotiate time zone issues, it has allowed for very rewarding long distance appointments, whether from Europe, Canada or other parts of the United States. I work with men and women, pastors, missionaries and people in all walks of life.

Matt is my dear husband of 35 years. Together we’ve raised four children and are enjoying our adult relationship with them, a son-in-law and two grandsons. We have been blessed with fellowship in the same church, and participation in its leadership, our entire marriage. The body of Christ is precious to us. I enjoy early-morning prayer - and almost everything else - best outside. A day that I find life-giving is one in which I’ve had a good physical workout, spent time with people I love, learned something and enjoyed Jesus!

About Me

As a farmer's daughter, I have always loved experiencing the cycle of planting, growth, pruning and harvest, and then starting the next season. Whether this is in my garden or in the practice of spiritual direction, I have been blessed to see God's faithfulness through all seasons. My own spiritual journey with its twists and turns includes the seasons of doubt, struggle, longing, and grief over loss and then those wonderful and loving seasons of joy and fulfillment. In all these seasons of life, God has called me to help others toward spiritual freedom in Christ (2 Cor. 2:17) and to live blessedly in "joy and grief intertwined" (Isaiah 61:3).

My personal journey includes over 20 years in a corporate business career as well as an unexpected transition to ministry in my local church and a global ministry. I completed a MA in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care at the Institute of Spiritual Formation, Talbot Seminary/Biola University where I also continue to serve as a spiritual director at Biola's Center for Spiritual Renewal. I meet people for spiritual direction in the Newport Beach/Costa Mesa/Irvine area, or by phone or SKYPE.

Thank you for considering me as you seek a spiritual director. It would be my privilege to journey with you.

About Me

As a spiritual director I help people listen with the Spirit to the story of the already-present activity of God in their lives in order to cultivate a deeper connection with him and to discern his movements in their life. I am a graduate of the C. John Weborg Center for Spiritual Direction at North Park Theological Seminary in Chicago and have been directing since 2009. With over 33 years of pastoral experience, I enjoy working with pastors and other church leaders. I work with the Core Community of Imago Christi (www.imagochristi.org), which develops spiritual formation resources and coaches Christian leaders and churches. Imago Christi is a team of spiritual formation specialists within CRM (Church Resource Ministries) (www.crmleaders.org). And, I am a certified life coach. I graduated from Baylor University (B.A.) and Dallas Theological Seminary (Th.M.). My wife Jill and I have two adult children. I enjoy golf and hiking in the Colorado mountains.

About Me

Nothing would please me more than to help you to know Him. I've had formal training in spiritual direction and a whole lot of living to test those ideas. My aim is to be present to what God is doing in your life; with my mind steeped in the Word and my attention sharpened by the Spirit.

Working at the Center for Christian Leadership in Spiritual Formation gave me daily spiritual direction workouts for five years. At St. Thomas Theological Seminary (Denver, CO) "Spiritual Formation for Spiritual Directors," I received weekly input for a year from a seasoned director. These years of pioneering the concept of spiritual formation for evangelicals gave me an appreciation for the way culture and social factors influence spiritual expression. This training was valuable for my family and I as we worked overseas developing leaders. I am privy to suffering after after being diagnosed with a chronic progressive neurological disease.

About Me

My heart and passion is to create a safe space for men and women to experience a deep, abiding, transformational intimacy with God. I have been serving in various roles of shepherding, mentoring, intercessory prayer and spiritual direction for ministries, churches and individuals for over thirty years. In the last ten years I have increasingly been invited into more formal roles of intercessory prayer, spiritual direction and mentoring.

I have been blessed to have a personal spiritual director for over twenty years. It was through this journey that I experienced Abba’s invitation to walk alongside others in the same way. I earned a Master of Arts degree, with a focus in theology and counseling; and completed the course work for the Marriage and Family Therapy program at Bethel Seminary in Saint Paul, MN in 2010. And I completed my certification for spiritual direction in a two year program at Christos Center for Spiritual Formation in Minneapolis, MN in 2011.

I have experience in many forms of contemplative prayer, including Lectio Divina and the Ignatius Exercises. As a spiritual director/guide/companion it has been such a joy and honor to walk alongside others listening, noticing and witnessing the ways God is present, speaking and moving in their lives. That is truly holy ground.

About Me

Spiritual Direction. If you have said to yourself:
"I’m looking for
Someone who can listen
when I’m struggling
when I’m grieving
when I’m longing for more…
Someone who can help me
notice, hear, and
grow closer to God
in freedom, with integrity
and joy…
Someone who understands my journey
just enough to walk with me
but not get in the way of
the Mystery of God..."

If you've ever longed for "Poustinia" or A Garden Retreat:
A place of sanctuary
prayed in and stayed in
surrounded by nature
where God is near….
A place of rest
for being and breathing
and nurturing your soul
in the Way of Jesus…
A place of peace
where someone understands
just enough to stand with
but not in the way of
the Mystery of God.

Then find a warm welcome and a photo of me here: www.sheepdoglife.com
My own hunger and pursuit of the manifest presence of God has taken me on the inward adventure of solitude in the quiet of monastaries, and on geographical adventures as far away as Ethiopia, South Korea, and China — all of which draw me home to God in my own backyard. I am an active follower and friend of Jesus in all the roles of my life, which include but are not limited to being a wife, mother, grandmother, spiritual director, and CFO of a Professional Corporation.

A certified Spiritual Director and Supervisor with a Master of Arts degree in Christian Education, I earned my Certificate in Spiritual Formation from the Renovare Institute. I am an instructor/collaborator at Portland Seminary (George Fox Evangelical Seminary) for the Master of Arts Degree in Spiritual Direction.

About Me

My passion is to create safe environments and opportunities for people to experience God. My desire is for them to know who God created them to be and live into their truest self in Christ. As an empathetic listener and companion on the journey, my part is to help them to become aware and respond to God's invitations.

Early in my ministry career, I worked in full time ministry at a mega-church for eleven years. This experience heightened the value and necessity of spiritual direction for pastors and Christian leaders. Spiritual Direction is an important spiritual practice, as they deal with the challenges of ministry, the difficulty of finding a safe place to share and the struggle to stay connected to their own souls.

My Master's Specialization in Spiritual Transformation was accomplished through Northern Seminary in Lombard, IL in partnership with the Transforming Center®. My training in Spiritual Direction is through Sustainable Faith Indy and The Springs.

As a Spiritual Director, I am available for one-on-one sessions, group spiritual direction, retreats, speaking on the spiritual life and retreat coordination. Included in my experience is training with the Enneagram - a tool for self-knowledge and spiritual transformation, life experience with Twelve Step programs and as a trained companion with the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises. As a Listen to My Life Facilitator, a set of eight visual maps, my role is to help others recognize and respond to God in your story.

About Me

My hope in spiritual direction is to journey with others into deeper experiential encounters with God, that result in lives lived with greater love and freedom. It is a delight to explore and discover with others how God has been and is intimately at work in their lives. I received an M.A. Spiritual Formation & Soul Care at the Institute of Spiritual Formation at Biola University. I also received my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and am a Registered Nurse. With training in nursing, spiritual direction and psychology, I have a holistic and integrated approach in spiritual direction. About Me

I received my training as a spiritual director at Talbot Seminary's Institute for Spiritual Formation. Currently, I am a staff director at the Institute for Spiritual Formation and also do spiritual direction in a neighborhood church in central Los Angeles.
I am a long-time Jesus follower, college faculty member, Presbyterian USA church member, wife, and mother of four teen and young adult children. As a director, I have walked with believers experiencing various spiritual concerns and life situations. My passion is to point every person to the spiritual, to help them know themselves as Beloved of God, to help them to see more clearly the work of God and the Spirit in their daily lives, to experience it more deeply and constantly, and to know God and self in all things.
My passion for spiritual direction grew out of decades of caring for students and faculty in a university setting. At mid-career, I realized that spiritual direction was the missing component in my desire to love and care for the whole person. Since then, I have been listening with others for the still small voice of God.
My own life journey has brought me into places I never expected with God. In particular, I have experienced walking with and caring for family members with mental illness, chronic physical illness, aging parents, and learning how to love kids who come out as LGBT in the difficult environment of our broader Christian community. I currently am running a spiritual direction group for Christian parents of LGBT young people, so if you are interested please contact me.
I love books, ideas, languages, culture, and travel. I have had extensive cross-cultural experience and am fluent in German and Russian.

About Me

My training was through the Institute for Spiritual Formation at Talbot School of Theology and graduated with my M.A. in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care in May 2009. During that time I participated in the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises Program (Nineteenth annotation) at the Loyola Institute for Spirituality in Orange, California.

Meeting with my own spiritual director while attending Biola was a valuable avenue for me draw closer to the Lord and see what he was doing in ways I would not have otherwise noticed. I thoroughly enjoy providing a space for others who may be able to benefit in that same way and experience a deeper awareness of God’s presence and how he is uniquely working in their lives. My training has increased my ability to discern the Holy Spirit’s leading and how he may be drawing a person into a more intimate relationship with God. My direction experience over the years has been with adults, young adults, teenagers and seminary students.

I have a bachelors and masters in elementary education. My most rewarding experiences include: working as a mentor at Orange County Juvenile Hall, serving as a steward for the Billy Graham Association’s pastors conference in Amsterdam in 2000, and have gone on several mission trips to Mexico, Ukraine and Moscow.

I am very passionate about designing personalized retreats.

I love running, biking, golfing, traveling, and hiking, whether it is in the mountains or by the beach.

About Me

It is a privilege to sit in a direction room with others, discovering with them what God is speaking and discerning together how they are responding to His voice. My greatest passion is seeing people discover the easy yoke and the abundant life that is available through Christ.

I received my training in Spiritual Direction as well as an MA in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care from Talbot School of Theology. I also have a MA in Organizational Leadership.

I served for 21 years as a Pastor at a large church in Long Beach, CA. This experience gives me a unique vantage point in listening to pastors. Currently, I’m an Adjunct Faculty member at Biola University and a Staff Spiritual Director at the Institute for Spiritual Formation.

I have been married to my beautiful wife for 30 years. We have two children, one who recently graduated with his MA and one who is a senior in college.

I am available for individual direction, group direction, and retreats. I am equally comfortable working with men or women (a byproduct of growing up surrounded by aunts, grandmas, my mother and all girl cousins).

About Me

I discerned the call to spiritual direction while completing my Masters of Theological Studies in Spiritual Formation at Tyndale Seminary in Toronto. Like many spiritual directors, I was captured by the incredible privilege it is to companion someone as they discern the voice of the loving Creator in their lives. In recent years, I have also been given the privilege and grace of accompanying other directors as a supervisor. In addition to my journey as a spiritual director and supervisor, I am blessed to marry my love for spiritual formation with my love for the written word as Senior Editor of Conversations Journal. The desire to step in closer to God, whether you are someone hoping to understand the spiritual longings in your own life, someone hoping to make sense of a period of darkness, someone going through spiritual transition or simply someone wanting to go deeper with Christ takes an incredible amount of courage. If you'd like to learn more about me and who I am as a director, please visit me at www.anamcara.com.

About Me

By placing within me a lifelong captivation with the infinity and mystery of the Trinity, God gently led me to discern an ardent calling to the ministry of spiritual direction. It is my delight and privilege to provide a space within which my clients may openly, honestly, and safely explore, process, and deepen all parts of their walk with God and ultimately become more of their essential selves. As a spiritual director I have had the honor of traveling with directees into the darkest places of spiritual journey as well as joining in celebration of their greatest joys. In my practice I place particular concern on prayerfully creating an aesthetically hospitable space to encourage authentic reflection and communion with the Trinity.

I received my Master of Arts in Christian Formation and Soul Care from Denver Seminary and my Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of North Carolina at Asheville. I have also received training in imaginative meditation to offer healing in issues of self-disintegration.

In tandem with my practice as a spiritual director I also lead group and individual worshipful ecstatic dance and contribute to the theological blog, MySpiritualAdvisor.com.

It would be my sincere pleasure to journey with you as we seek ever-growing understanding and intimacy with our measureless Creator.

About Me

I received my training at Talbot School of Theology in their Institute of Spiritual Formation program. My name is Elizabeth Payne. I have been involved in Youth Ministry both in the United States and in Ecuador. It is my desire to do ministry from a posture of abiding IN CHRIST and remembering that apart from Him I can do nothing (Jn. 15). I have lived overseas for 2/3 of my life, first as a Third Culture Kid/Missionary Kid, and then as an adult serving the Lord with my husband and children in Ecuador. I care deeply that the souls of those in ministry are nurtured and cared for.

I have been married for 28 years. I am the mother of 4 adult children, and two in-law children. God has graced me with a wide-range of life experiences and passages, the most recent one being 'the empty nest.' I desire to steward these for His glory.

I currently reside in Ecuador with my husband. I am teaching spiritual formation to undergrad students in a semester abroad program. I also give spiritual direction to adults and students in Ecuador.

About Me

My Spiritual Direction practice is set in the inviting and healing space of the Mansio Center, where we treat mind, heart, body, soul.

I am a trained spiritual director through Christos Center for Spiritual Formation. I have been facilitating group and individual spiritual direction for 6 years and serve as the Director of Soul Care at the Mansio Center. I see directees in-person at the center in the Chicago area and am also available via phone/skype/etc. for those outside of the area.

In a time of deep healing 12 years ago, I began going away on solitude retreats and have done so annually ever since. I now craft individual solitude retreats for those seeking to get away alone with guided support. I love helping others gain confidence (even when scared) to enter the silence and listen to their own souls and for the movement of God. I also speaks at retreats, workshops, and other events.

Through my own story of loss, betrayal, and abuse I have met God in loving and transformational ways. I am passionate about staying with those in places of transition, grief, a feeling of being stuck, and during times of growth as they search for God’s presence in their life.

When I am not writing or serving the Mansio Center I can be found reading a good book, fermenting foods, or traipsing around the woods with my husband and three kids.

About Me

I have a passion for soul care and am especially burdened for those who serve in ministry, who may become weary and need spiritual refreshment. It is my desire to offer a listening ear and to journey alongside those who desire a spiritual companion. I enjoy meeting with individuals one on one (face to face or via skype). I currently lead quarterly half-day retreats that combine solitude and group direction (in Dundee, IL).
I received much of my core Christian instruction through John Ortberg, when he was a teaching pastor at Willow Creek Community Church (Barrington, IL). I was led to obtain a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (Deerfield, IL) and later on, a Graduate Certificate in Spiritual Direction from North Park Theological Seminary (Chicago, IL). I have been blessed by a variety of ministry experiences, including Willow Creek Association (Barrington, IL), Sonlight Ministries (Port-de-Paix, Haiti), and TEAM (The Evangelical Alliance Mission, Carol Stream, IL). My current role at TEAM splits my time between the needs within the Counseling Office and Spiritual Refreshment/Care for missionaries.

About Me

Being driven to being drawn is how I described my own need for spiritual direction years ago. Now, as a spiritual director, it is an honor to help others quiet down, listen and grow in awareness of the gentle, loving presence of God.

It is life-giving to come alongside and care for others as they often find themselves running on empty. I have journeyed with the broken-hearted and feel at home in grief and tears, knowing that God is near to those who hurt deeply. I also savor times of celebration -being with others as they catch glimpses of God’s goodness, amazing care and deep love.

After being on staff in both para-church and church settings for 25+ years, I sensed God intentionally leading me to grow in loving Him and loving others well. I immersed myself in a 3-year spiritual training, earning my MA in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care through Talbot Seminary.

My husband and I have been married for 33 years, we have three adult children and one adorable little dog. I delight in savoring a good meal along with love and laughter of family and friends around the table.

About Me

Over the years, spiritual direction has been a place where I have grown in intimacy with our loving God. I felt the call in 2008 to become a director and offer others this sacred space to draw closer to God. I was trained in Christian Formation Direction Ministries of San Diego and finished in 2011.

Prior to becoming a spiritual director, I was an Audiologist. Both of these professions involve the process of hearing, of listening. As an Audiologist, I helped people to hear their outside world: people and sounds. Now as a director, I help people hear their internal world: the Holy Spirit of God and their own feelings, desires and experiences of God.

I also was involved in women’s mentoring and bible studies for years as a part of the church I attended. Currently, I facilitate a covenant group for women who have experienced trauma and desire deeper healing from God. Journeying with others who desire to grow emotionally and spiritually has long been a passion of mine.

I am married to my husband, Ron, of 31 years. We have three grown daughters and two grandchildren.

About Me

My personal calling is to come alongside pastors and ministry leaders and help them thrive in ministry as they keep their eyes upon Jesus. Too often in ministry we care for everyone else's soul and neglect our own. I know this from personal experience, having served as a pastor in congregations for nearly 30 years. Spiritual direction helps keep pastors' first call, to love and follow Jesus, in perspective as they pursue their ministry vocation.
I've been a certified spiritual director for 20 years and love helping ministry folks hear again Jesus' words, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest."

About Me

My hope, as a Spiritual Director, is that those who enter into this sacred time and space will become more continually aware of God's presence and love throughout their day, will be able to love Him back better, and will be able to reflect that love toward their world.

In addition to my training at North Park Seminary's John Weborg Center for Spiritual Direction, I have my Master's in Counseling Psychology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. I have worked as a community mental health therapist and as Director of Care & Counseling on church staff. I am currently in private practice as a Spiritual Director and see both men and women, including clergy.

If God is calling your heart to explore this avenue toward deeper intimacy with Him, I would be honored to enter into the journey with you.

About Me

A Christian’s relationship with God can have its share of uncertainties, practical concerns, and nagging doubts.  This doesn't make you unfaithful, just a human being living faith in real life. We all experience difficult seasons in our spiritual life, a desire and leading to go a little deeper or have some specific questions or issues we feel called to explore.

As a Spiritual Director, I meet you where you are at. I am deeply empathetic and a gentle listener, who is quick to listen and slow to speak. Together we ask and we listen for what the Spirit may be saying. Prayerfully, I provide reflection and practical practices to help you recognize and respond to the invitation of God in your life.

It is a sacred privilege to share the road with people who are living into a deeper sense of intimacy with God. Because each person's story is unique, our time together looks very different from person to person. In general, we prayerfully explore your relationship with God, explore your pondering and hunches, discern and call-out gifting and co-create with the Spirit opportunities to grow in the experience of the unfailing love of God.

I have deep compassion for people who have experienced disappointment with God and have been hurt by Church. I also serve those (and their loved ones) who have experienced loss or trauma, and compassionate care for those seeking end-of-life spiritual care.

I am a follower of Jesus who is head over heels in love with God. Who knows what it's like to be certain and doubt, to feel good about life and struggle with depression, to boast and be humbled, to have plenty and experienced great loss, to be courageous and terrified, - in the midst of a life of living contradictions and paradox I find rest in the faithful love of God.

I have twenty-five years of ministry experience; as a pastor, hospital chaplain and as a spiritual director. I graduated with a Master of Ministry from St. Stephen’s University (New Brunswick, Canada) and authored a book entitled “Becoming Love. Avoiding Common Forms of Christian Insanity.”

About Me

So often we don't know how to develop our real life with an unseen God. Spiritual Direction is an important practice for this. I meet with people who long to live more of their ordinary moments of more of their days interactively with the friendship love of God. I offer spiritual direction to both sisters and brothers in Christ and anyone else who desires to grow closer to God. My plan is to listen with the Holy Spirit to what is going on in your life and to join you in the discernment process of what God is inviting in your life.

A great joy for me is to serve as the Co-Director of the Graduate Spiritual Direction Program at Richmont Graduate University in Atlanta. I teach Spiritual Formation at Richmont Graduate University (GA) and Ashland Seminary (OH).

My spiritual direction training was through the Ignatian Spirituality Institute at John Carroll University (OH), and Christian Formation and Direction Ministries (CA). This was enhanced by my training and subsequent employment in the Renovaré International Institute for Christian Spiritual Formation (CA). My Doctor of Ministry is in Spiritual Formation (SF) from Ashland Seminary (OH), focusing on the presently available kingdom of God and the teachings of Dallas Willard.

You can find me out walking and learning from and living with my wonderful husband Bob, our inspiring adult children and one delightful chocolate labradoodle. Among other things, I enjoy creating inviting spaces for people, the art of gardening and paying attention to ordinary life with God.

I also guide people through the Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius of Loyola.

It would be a joy to hear from you.

About Me

I have become gratefully aware of God’s ever-present faithfulness in the seasons of life through 30 years of marriage and as the mother of three grown children, and grandmother of three. Partly as a result of profound life changes, I have been drawn into an ongoing re-evaluation of my life and faith in the last few years, and what it means to be open to God’s loving examination and companionship.

One of the greatest gifts given to me in this time has been the gracious listening of a spiritual director. To sit with another in God’s presence and be received and heard is a healing place. This process has helped me to notice more fully what God is doing and saying and how I am responding.

I believe the ministry of spiritual direction is an important and effective gift offering ongoing growth towards
clarity, liberation, and wholeness in all of life, as individuals learn to notice and respond to the movement of God.

I received formal training at the Institute for Spiritual Direction at Stillpoint in Las Vegas, graduating in 2012, and later completed Advanced Formation training, with further experience in leading the Ignatian Exercises, retreats and small group studies in the Bible and spiritual classics.

I remain grateful for the transforming, healing work of God, in my life and in the lives of others.

About Me

A native of Siler City, North Carolina, I have lived in the Richmond, Virginia area for over thirty years. I am married to my best friend, Sharon; we have two married children, a son and a daughter, and three grandchildren that we adore. I have been a Baptist pastor for over 40 years and in 2017 will have served as Senior Pastor of The First Shiloh Baptist Church, Mechanicsville, Virginia for thirty years. I am an adjunct professor at Ashland Theological Seminary, in Ashland, Ohio, Director/Faculty of HCM International’s Spiritual Direction Program, and the President and Founder of The Healing Place Center for Counseling and Spiritual Formation in Richmond, Virginia. I offer spiritual direction to individuals who find themselves at a crossroad, impasse, or who are simply experiencing life challenges. I sense a particular calling to come alongside African American individuals who struggle to reconcile issues of faith and experiences of life that create pain and brokenness that stem from systemic and societal issues.
I have a BA in Psychology and Sociology from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, a Master of Theological Studies from the Trinity Lutheran Seminary, Columbus, Ohio; a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the Southwestern University, and a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Ashland Theological Seminary, Ashland, Ohio. I received training as a Spiritual Director as a part of my doctoral program of study in Formational Counseling at Ashland Theological Seminary. I am also a certified Myers Briggs (MBTI) Master Practitioner, and Enneagram Practitioner.
I completed additional programs in spiritual formation and extensive studies and research in African American spirituality and soul care as reflected in my doctoral dissertation, on the efficacy of the formational model for healing and pastoral care in the African American context. Subsequently, I authored two books that address the spiritual formation of African Americans: How I Got Over: Healing for the African American Soul, and Wouldn’t Take Nothing for My Journey: Caring for the African American Soul. I feel a deep calling to be a “friend of the Bridegroom” and to come alongside others as an empathic witness. To enter with them into the sacred terrain of their soul is a sacred privilege. My prayer is that they will hear God’s voice, and discover an ever-deepening intimacy with God as we begin the journey of listening and discerning together.

About Me

What a wonderful thing to be called to spiritual direction, after 45 years of experience working in the mental health field, Christian ministry in crisis intervention, drug and alcohol counseling, prison work, and social work. I feel my life was transformed with my own personal walk in spiritual direction and, therefore love watching God work in the lives of my directees.

I am currently retired, loving my calling to spiritual direction, enjoying fellowship with my Lord in my own little garden of Eden full of winding paths and glorious surprises! My companions in this noticing of God's creation , are two rescue dogs, Sadie and Millie. How much I have learned about trust and joy from them!

I began my formal training at Kairos School of Spiritual Direction and completed it through the guidance of ESDA, which lovingly nurtured a Biblically-based approach to spiritual direction.

I am available for all ages and walks of life, whoever God calls, for in person or Skype direction. May God bless you in your journey!

About Me

As an artist I tend to see "between the lines," to feel the truth underneath the surface, and to hold moments of tension while discovering their beauty. As I've journeyed with Jesus I've come to appreciate the metaphor art reveals about life and the rich ways God works through our pain to reveal his beauty and love to us in their midst.

After a painful ministry experience I entered seminary, and shortly after I discovered God was using my photography point-of-view to help others see their own beautiful complexities. I completed my spiritual direction training and a M.A. in Spiritual Formation & Soul Care from Talbot School of Theology's Institute for Spiritual Formation in 2013. I am currently working on a master's degree in fine art.

I use Ignation imaginative prayer, visio divina, and metaphors regularly in spiritual direction. Also, I often journey with individuals who are creative, and also those who struggle with anxiety. I enjoy working with people who desire to connect with Jesus through their lives and in their circumstances, and who are open to exploring the rough edges of beauty on their journey with Jesus.

About Me

My greatest joy is to facilitate contemplative weekend retreats at churches, seminaries, homes, and women’s shelters where I can offer individuals who are unacquainted with the practice of spiritual director an opportunity to learn the difference between being still and doing nothing. I've given retreats, both nationally and internationally. Ten years ago, I began offering Christmas Quiet, a day of silent Advent reflection which has become a holiday tradition for Chicago-area women. I'm the author of 151 Things God Can't Do, Holy Shakespeare! and Christmas Quiet, a holiday devotional and adult coloring book. I also had the honor of being a contributor to the anthologies Embodied Spirits, Stories of Spiritual Directors of Color, and Ain't Gonna Let Nobody Turn Me Around, Stories of Contemplation and Social Justice. I hold a master's degree in Spiritual Formation and Family Ministry from Dominican University, and completed the practicum in spiritual director at the Christos Center for Spiritual Formation.

About Me

Special interests: Encouraging conservative Evangelicals to taste vital, experiential communion with Christ within a robust, thoroughly-Biblical doctrinal framework. Helping Evangelicals in winsomely and wisely adapting spiritual formation and spiritual direction to their faith heritage. Along with one-on-one nurture of others, I seek to instruct groups, and offer spiritual direction, in various settings: retreats, churches, and academic settings.

I work full-time in technology and serve part-time on the faculty of Urbana Theological Seminary as Assistant Professor of New Testament and Spiritual Formation. I completed the ecumenical Spiritual Direction Training Program at the Chiara Center (2015) and earned a Ph.D. in Biblical Theology (New Testament) from Wheaton College (2008), a Th.M. in New Testament from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (2002), an M.Div. from Lincoln Christian Seminary (1998), an M.A. in Philosophy from University of Wisconsin-Madison (1993), and a graduate certificate from Moody Bible Institute (1988). I'm currently working on a project, "Embracing Our Everyday Callings," toward earning a D.Min. in Spiritual Formation at Lincoln Christian Seminary (est. May 2018). I served in local church staff roles of Pastor of Spiritual Development and Director of Prayer Ministries.

My spouse, Laura, and I been married for 27 years and have three daughters transitioning to adulthood. As Jesus "would often slip away to the wilderness and pray" (Luke 5:16), I like to slip away to my tiny, off-the-grid hermitage in the northern Wisconsin forest. I enjoy wilderness, quiet, solitude, hiking, skiing, canoeing, dual-sport motorcycling, sitting still on big rocks, telescopes, stained glass, staring at the fire, and napping. I'm a non-fiction book enthusiast, reading widely in all areas: "Great are the works of the Lord, they are sought out by all who delight in them" (Psalm 111:2).

I completed my training in spiritual direction as well as an MA in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care from Talbot School of Theology. Before Talbot, I received my BS in Biological Science and was working at a medical device company for a couple years. I felt the Lord leading me to Talbot to study theology and become a spiritual director in order to be with others who are desiring more of God.

Spiritual Direction is such a wonderful gift to be seen and known by another. It is such an honor and privilege to walk alongside others in their journey with the Lord. I am very passionate about spiritual direction and am beyond grateful to be able to serve others through this ministry. I would love to sit with you, wherever you find yourself, and listen to you and with you. My goal is not to give you answers but to help you bring those questions open and honestly before the Lord. He is the true spiritual director and I truly love watching Him at work.

My husband and I have been married for three years. We are hoping to adopt a puppy soon to add to our little family.

About Me

As a Spiritual Director, I consider it an honor and privilege to come alongside you in your journey as you seek to cultivate a deeper awareness of God’s presence and movement in your everyday life! My heart and passion is to support you in making space for God, by actively listening to your story, and exploring together where He is at work in your life. What a joyous thing it is when a person has one of those “aha” moments where God meets them during times of conversation, silence, a spiritual exercise, or prayer, and they suddenly recognize and are able to respond to His movement in a way that brings healing, understanding, and transformation to their life. What precious moments these are! Just as precious are the times we sit with mystery, waiting, cry tears or sit with unanswered questions as we bask in God’s unconditional love, acceptance, and care.

My own journey with Spiritual Direction began many years ago. After God used this ministry to bring healing and transformation to my own life, I entered training to become a Spiritual Director. I received my certification from Sustainable Faith’s School of Spiritual Direction.

I am married to my wonderful husband Bob and we have six adult children and nine grandchildren. Through the church, I have served and led in many roles including pastor’s wife, small group leader, children’s ministry director, as well as being involved in many community outreach projects. My personal interests are health and wellness, fitness (I am a certified YogaFaith instructor), reading, the outdoors, and spending time with my family.

I am available to meet in person, over the phone, or tele-direction.

About Me

Mark Summers is a co-founder of Redeemed Seasons Ministries, which is based in Colorado Springs. Mark comes to ministry after a long, successful career in technology management, where he used his legal education and his people skills to form and lead teams that had transformational impacts on the organizations in which he worked.

In 1998, a disruptive personal crisis drew Mark to Jesus, and he committed his life to the Lord in earnest. After almost a decade of volunteer service in local churches, God brought Mark through an accelerated season of discipleship and growth, kindling a deepening heart for the relational mission field.

In 2015, God called Mark and his wife, Christy, to engage their faith and make the leap to full-time ministry for the relationally and sexually broken. They launched Redeemed Seasons in January of 2016.

Redeemed Seasons in now a partner ministry with Discovery Church Colorado, where he and Christy are involved in pastoral care and discipleship. Mark received a certificate in Spiritual Direction from the Sustainable Faith School of Spiritual Direction in May of 2017.

Mark and Christy work one-on-one and in small groups with men and women who are working to know Jesus and change the direction of their personal stories. Through Redeemed Seasons, they lead a deep healing program for men and women struggling with sexual and relational brokenness. They also provide coaching and equipping to pastors, ministry leaders, and small group leaders on how to care well for those struggling with brokenness.
