Grounding our Fears about the Future in God
Once complete, this election cycle will invite us to begin the journey of transition into a new season of national leadership. You are invited to a spacious evening with Debbie Swindoll, who will lead us in a meditation and in sharing some of the complexities that have surfaced for each of us thoughout this season. Come find support for any areas of vulnerability regarding uncertainty about the future and discuss questions like:
What concerns/fears do you have about the future?
What supports you during times of transition and uncertainty?
In what ways is the Spirit offering presence and peace in the unknown?
Exploring your feelings, thoughts, and impulses around these issues can help prepare you to hold a non-judgemental space for directees. It can also identify potential triggers and help you differentiate the emotional reactions coming from within and from the outside. Come allow other spiritual directors to encourage and strengthen you through our extended small group time together in community.
