About Me

I count it a privilege to be invited to companion with people as they seek to journey deeper into the transforming love of Jesus. The Prophet Jeremiah, in the midst of a spiritually dry time, reminded God’s people, “’Long ago the Lord said to Israel: “I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love, I have drawn you to myself.” (Jeremiah 31:3, NLT) As we travel through all phases and seasons of life, the joyful and the difficult, Jesus is continually inviting us to respond to Him and live more fully in His love for us. This does not always mean the love Jesus is extending to us is obvious at first or easy to embrace. Yet, what I love about the ministry of Spiritual Direction is the chance to assist and support others as they seek to know and encounter Jesus is a personal and formative way. I desire to be a presence and listening ear that opens the door for others to meet with and hear from the Holy Spirit, who is the true Spiritual Director of our lives. God is the guide, the grace, and the goal of our journey; our role is to attentively recognize and respond to His movements in our lives.
I have the joy of being with Jesus and people in many facets of life. I am husband to a wonderful wife, a dad to two young boys, an ordained pastor in The International Church of the Foursquare Gospel, as a Spiritual Director, and as the Care Pastor at Faith Fellowship Church in Uxbridge, MA where I facilitate the pastoral care ministries of the church and oversee the church’s small groups. My training includes a B.A. in Biblical Studies from Zion Bible College, a Masters of Divinity from Ashland Theological Seminary with a concentration in Spiritual Formation, and the completion of a two-year training cohort in Spiritual Direction through The PAX Center of Spiritual Formation.

Hello and welcome to Beth Knight Ministry! where my heart meets yours for deep supportive listening and where generous ecumenism abounds.
~Spiritual Direction has been my passion for 20 years. My certification is through Holy Spirit Center of Anchorage, AK (2003-2005). I also hold a master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary (2016) and am a Commissioned Ecumenical Minister through Federation of Christian Ministries.
~Having lived in Anchorage, Alaska for 19 years, the Holy Spirit meaningfully shaped my life through retreat ministry there and many beloved people. Now I live in central Florida where I love spending time with family, friends, being a Nana, outdoor evening walks, the smell of pine trees, and labyrinth prayer walking. I write a bit poetry and am an avid reader of non-fiction.
~ I serve as a spiritual director globally, supervisor to other SD, teach as an adjunct faculty with The Center for Formation/Ministry of Spiritual Direction School in Pennsylvania; and facilitate retreats & workshops in person and online. I completed my M.A. in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care at Talbot School of Theology and currently practice Spiritual Direction both virtually and in the Orange County area. My background includes serving as a Staff Director at Talbot Seminary, where I provide individual and group spiritual direction to both undergraduate and graduate students. "As a spiritual director, I am a faithful and engaged listener who compassionately companions and encourages others to a deeper understanding of their belovedness in Jesus. My personal life call is to love and know God with intention, vigor, and passion. (Jeremiah 9:34)

I have walked my own wilderness journey with the Lord, and from there my desire was stirred to companion believers while they walk out their own journeys with Jesus. I have walked through divorce, single-parenting, remarriage and merging a blended family. Years in the wilderness deepened my love for Jesus and shaped my spiritual journey like nothing else has. I have been a military wife, a registered nurse, and I have directed a Christian ministry.

I encourage people on their journeys at different levels. I offer individual and group spiritual direction and some coaching. I speak at retreats on spiritual intimacy and growing deeper in Christ, and I also host contemplative group retreats in my home. It is a joy to see people journey with Christ and each other for a day!

I received my Spiritual Direction training from Selah (Leadership Transformations). I have completed the Transforming Center’s program for Spiritual Transformation, Larry Crabb’s New Way School of Spiritual Direction, and I have completed Coaching the Heart program from Leadership MetaFormation.

I am married to my best friend Ken, and we have a large and loud family of five children, three daughters-in-love, and three grandchildren. I am a spiritual director with dual trainings through Richmont Graduate University and Larger Story with Larry Crabb. Because I believe in the mind-body-spirit connection, I am trained in brainspotting, which can be helpful in processing spiritual trauma/abuse, as well as offer deeper connection with God by accessing emotions, memories, and ideas stored beyond conscious thought and language. After 20 years of serving on various church staffs, as well as growing up in a ministry family, I am passionate about companioning both church staff and those who have been hurt by the church. It is a special privilege to witness the stories of others and hold them before God. Working through my own healing process has developed an affinity for others in the process of grieving and healing.

As a spiritual director, I seek to create a calm and welcoming space to explore the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the directee. I believe that the Spirit is the ultimate director and is always at work in the directee’s life, even if the directee is unaware. Using a contemplative model, I follow the directee’s lead in the session as we pay attention together to their spiritual dynamics. As led by the Spirit, or requested by the directee, I incorporate brainspotting, as well as other spiritual practices into the direction session.

I also offer experiences with spiritual practices to groups, such as contemplative prayer, lectio divina, etc.

Your story and your heart matter. Many things lead an individual to consider a spiritual direction relationship: a longing for deeper intimacy with God, a difficult or transitional season of life, faith stretching questions, or the demands, isolation, and intensity of ministry.

As a spiritual director, my heart will be attentive to God as I companion you. Together we will listen for God and look for His fingerprints on the pages of your story. My prayer is that you will experience God's love more fully and move into greater freedom, healing, and wholeness in Him.

I graduated from Messiah College with a Bachelor of Arts in studio art (1992). I received a Master of Divinity from Biblical Seminary, Hatfield, PA (2004) and I completed spiritual direction training at Kairos: School of Spiritual Formation, Lancaster, PA (2013).

I am also a wife, mother, artist and author. My husband is an attorney and my two daughters are young adults. As an artist I reflect on, respond to, and pray the beauty and the mess of our walk with God through images. I have created three devotional books that blend Scripture, art, reflections, and journal pages and a personal retreat guidebook.

I’m a husband, father of two, and spiritual director with more than two decades of experience in pastoral ministry. I began to feel the call towards becoming a spiritual director in 2014 which led me to complete The Academy of Spiritual Formation and The School of Spiritual Direction through SoulFormation.

Having walked through seasons of significant loss, depression, and burnout in my role as a pastor, I've come to understand the importance of having a soul friend that can walk alongside us to help us make sense of our faith journey.

Gordon T. Smith explains that, “A spiritual director offers spiritual guidance and companionship to help us make sense of our faith journey, interpret with us the significant markers on the road, and encourage us, particularly through the more difficult transitions and valleys of our pilgrimage. Most of all, a spiritual director helps us make sense of the witness of the Spirit - assisting us to respond well to the question, ‘How is God present to me and how is God, through the ministry of the Spirit, at work in my life?’”

Regardless of what season of life you find yourself in, Spiritual Direction is a powerful ministry that helps individuals take a deeper dive in their walk by listening for the voice of God with a trusted soul friend.

What I love most about spiritual direction is that it creates a space for people to come unguarded before God and bring what's authentic, even when it's unpolished. In turn, they encounter God's goodness in fresh ways that deepen faith and generate freedom.

I've spent over 10 years pastoring youth and families in the church and have my MA in Theology from Concordia University. I was trained as a spiritual director through Nuos Formation and now help train and supervise their trainees. I also have 10 years experience life coaching around a variety of issues. I approach my work holistically and will often use the body to help people access their emotions and have a felt experience of grace. I am trauma and BIPOC informed. I continue to be in awe of how God uses the seemingly mundane experiences of life as opportunities to be fully known by him and others and expand our capacity to give and receive love.

One of my greatest joys is spending time with my playful husband of seven years and connecting with my step-kids (now 22 and 24). Being a step mom has been a vulnerable grace toward deeper belonging. Recently God has been drawing me to explore the arts and I'm pursuing an AA in dance.

I can meet with people in-person or on Zoom. I lead groups as well as work one on one with men and women from their mid twenties to late seventies.

The increasing intensity I have to know Jesus more intimately in my life emerges from the power of the Holy Spirit to move and awaken me in the darkest of times. Through seasons of incredible grief my faith sought shelter in the ancient spiritual practice of lament. Sharing openly and honestly with the God who created me, calls me daughter, and loves me perfectly, is where I found safety and rest in the harbor of the quiet, tender presence of Christ’s embrace.

From the loving gaze of Jesus who continues to unexpectedly grab my attention, inviting me to receive grace upon grace, I am called toward the heart of the hurting and offer the same comfort that my Savior supplies to me. One of the best ways to connect with those who ache for more of God, long for transformation, wildly wonder, and boldly question is to simply sit with them in the Presence of the Triune God.

In the sacred practice of spiritual direction, I see an invitation to offer an attentive intentional act of listening to another’s story. Together with the true guide, the Holy Spirit, we tune in to the quiet deeper places with God that exist through knowing him and knowing oneself.

The Lord is near and I count it all joy and honor to be called vocationally into the sacred space of Holy listening to discern with directees what God is up to. Sitting with my own spiritual director the past few years has deepened reliance on the Holy Spirit along with my formal training to guide others well. Through the Spirit’s gifting of connection, compassion, and concern for others, I offer a safe harbor for curiosity, reflectiveness, and honesty with God.

I completed my formal training in spiritual direction through Sustainable Faith, as well as a certificate as a Grief Recovery Specialist through the Grief Recovery Method. I am available for both individual and group direction via in-person or zoom.

Years ago I felt the Lord say to me, "I have made you to be like Silas, one who comes along side." I have discovered that the deeper meaning of this calling is in spiritual direction. I count it a privilege to journey along side others as we walk with God in our direction appointments.

I currently serve as the Senior Pastor of Carefree Vineyard Church and hold a Masters of Divinity from The Master's Institute. I graduated with my M.Div. in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care from the Institute for Spiritual Formation at Talbot School of Theology. About Me

As a Spiritual Director, it is an honor to hold sacred space for individuals to attend to their inner lives and to connect to the presence and activity of God in their daily journey. As I am allowed to travel together with others who authentically engage with God, it is a joy to bear witness to their unfolding understanding of how loved they are - that never gets old!

As a ministry spouse (my husband has been a lead pastor for 30+ years) and a nonprofit executive director, I know firsthand the challenges of vocational ministry. I understand the loneliness of ministry (even if surrounded by people) and the lack of safe places to process our emotions and life situations with honesty and complete confidentiality. I am in a unique position to listen to and understand others in ministry without judgment.

I received a certificate in Spiritual Direction through Soul Shepherding Institute and completed their two-year Spiritual Formation program. My husband and I have been married (and in vocational ministry) for 37 years. We have four grown children and one adorable grandson. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, working jigsaw puzzles while listening to worship music, and spending time with God in nature.

About Me

Hello, My name is Beth Laury. I am a second career minister leaving a career as a physical therapist when the Lord called me full-time into His service. For seven years, I served as the adult discipleship director/pastor at a metro Atlanta Church. Currently, I serve with Hearts for Eternity leading retreats both locally and internationally. In addition, I provide spiritual direction and spiritual formation support for women.

I call myself a “space maker” as I make space for others to be with God. The Holy Spirit is the one doing the work and I never forget that. I love helping people slow down and listen to the Lord. I care deeply for the struggling, broken, and suffering. I am passionate about journeying one-on-one or leading groups as others grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. By the grace of God, I often witness Christ’s work of transformation in people’s lives.

Part of my personal formation has been through the Renovaré Institute. I earned a Master of Arts in Spiritual Formation and Direction from Richmont Graduate University in Atlanta, GA. I have completed an eighteen-month training on giving the Ignatius Spiritual Exercises from the Westmont College/Martin Institute in conjunction with the Jesuit Institute of South Africa. In addition, I am a Level 1 Certified Christian Trauma Care Provider and Level II Enneagram Practitioner, though I only use these topics if the client requests. I am married with two adult daughters and I love reading, walking, cooking, and traveling.

About Me

It is my great joy to sit with others, inviting the Spirit to lead us, as we listen, and look for the Lords’ invitations to know Him more deeply. My own experience with direction has helped me to see how comforting and powerful companioning and seeking the Lord together can be to help us grow to know Jesus more intimately.

I loved serving in medical missions and church planting on the island of Trinidad with my family for ten years and I have a passion for the local church. I have led Bible studies with women and worked with children. I also have a deep love for cross-cultural ministry and am involved with our missionary care team.

My training was received from the Spiritual Formation and Soul Care program at Talbot Seminary and I am currently working as a Spiritual
Director for Biola University, working with Biola and Talbot students.

I have four adult married children, five grandchildren and two dogs. I have recently been widowed after 38 blessed years of marriage. I love reading, cooking, walking in nature, sitting by the beach, and sharing life with others.
