About Me
My journey in spiritual direction started from a personal journey years ago as a successful pastor on the edge of burnout, who stepped away for a season in order to find my true self and put my personal relationship with Christ back in the center of my life, rather than ministry. Now I am blessed to serve only out of my passions & gifts.
Skilled at listening to people’s stories and helping directees and retreatants uncover the movement of God in them. Lots of experience working with people at all stages of their spiritual journey, from spiritual seekers to committed followers of Christ and all stages in between. Work with pastors in crisis & life transitions, and lead retreats for pastors and church leaders to rekindle a deep relationship with Jesus and creating more healthy, sustainable spiritual rhythms. Work with church boards & staffs to set up structures and speak on pastoral wellness. Also serve as a retreat speaker and provide marital/premarital Counseling (Prepare-Enrich Certified Coach for over 15 years).
Pastor for more than 25 years, ordained in the Evangelical Covenant Church, currently on the pastoral staff of a large church in the Church of the Nazarene denomination.
Received my training from Fuller Seminary & from the Weborg Center for Spiritual Direction at North Park Theological Seminary. I am a member of the Covenant Association of Spiritual Directors, yet I also have extensive backgrounds in both Benedictine & Ignatian spirituality.
Outside of ministry, passionate loves are my wife, son & hiking/backpacking. My wife also provides support with couples spiritual direction.
